Today, I brought my stepdaughter to Main Street Kids Care, and the experience was exceptional—much better than our last visit! The clinic was quick, efficient, and professional. All of the employees were kind and attentive, making us feel well cared for from start to finish. A special mention goes to Nurse Practitioner Valencia, who is simply amazing! She took the time to listen and made sure all of our questions were answered. We truly appreciate the level of care we received today. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Took my daughter in for a cough, and we didn’t have to wait long at all. We were in and out pretty quickly. The nurse practitioner was super friendly, and the staff was great too. I even made myself a coffee while we were there, and my daughter was excited to get a Snow White sticker. Overall, it was a smooth and easy visit!

The lady who did the throat swab for our (very pain tolerant) son, made him cry. He pulled back and started to cry and she just kept doing it. This isn't my first rodeo and I know for a fact that throat swabs do not have to be performed so aggressively.
Either extensive training needs to be done for their staff working with pediatrics or they shouldn't be working with them at all.
I have already discussed the behavior with the clinic manager and she was nice but overall dismissive. She stated that because my son was already sick I was probably just in mama bear mode and on edge. I've got three kids and come from a large family. Them being sick does not put me on edge. My son getting aggressively throat swabbed put me into mama bear mode though because that's not necessary.
He cried a good part of the 30min car ride home because he said he didn't understand why someone who was supposed to help people hurt him and now his throat was more sore than when we arrived. I was trying to get him feeling better and we left with his throat feeling worse and him feeling upset and sad over the whole situation.
Also, the overly automated system is absolutely awful. Good luck if you need to talk to an actual human, even if for a quick question.
I also posted in a local mom's group and their are stories similar to mine and some much worse. To your homework before coming here
P.S.
Wendy from corporate gets 5 stars! She was absolutely awesome and went above and beyond.

I took my daughter here who had a sudden fever. It was quick to register online and once we got there we were in and out. I did spend some time waiting in the waiting room bit not too long. Overall, this is my third visit here with one of my 4 children and I will definitely be back.

Love this place even more than our regular Dr. 's office. You register online and then wait @ home until time to check in. This creates very minimal contact with others. It's SOOOO MUCH BETTER than waiting in a germ filled room full of sick crying kids!! The staff here has always been very friendly, knowledgeable and spot on with diagnosing my son! We will ALWAYS come here before going ANYWHERE ELSE!! Thanks KidsStreet!!!! ?

I arrived at 3pm checked in with my texts saying I have 30mins to sign in. I knocked on the door for some help, and the nurse told me I’d need to call a 3rd party kiosk assistant to give them my card information, instead of just entering it myself. I waited 30mins to speak with the 3rd party. The lady got me “checked in” at 3:45. She stated “someone will call you back shortly”. I waited, at 4:15pm another mother came in and checked in. Within minutes of her checking in she was called back, I was still waiting. 30 more minutes go by and I’m still waiting. Another parent comes in with his two children, and had to call the 3rd party kiosk assistant. 10 minutes and he’s pulled back… my son and I are still waiting. I asked why and the nurse just looked at me and walked away. The first nurse who initially helped me was the one to call us back. Once pulled back my son was rushed through vitals and they did not get his weight. They also did not get an accurate temperature, it was 92.7 which is hypothermic. The nurse did not try to retake it. He was tested for strep, which is why we were there, and the doctor did check him over well. Which was great, cause she did make sure he didn’t have any underlying problems.
They ended up giving him a steroid, and because there was no weight taken. I worry he may have been over dosed for the medication. All to say, after waiting 2hrs we were rushed through a visit. And as far as I’m aware, the two family’s who came in after me. They both expressed they were there for the same thing. A strep test.

The kiosk should not be broken up into needing a 3rd party for payments. Patient need to be able to enter their own billing/payment information.

The staff is excellent with children. My son is on the autism spectrum and they were beyond patient and understanding. They went above and beyond to establish a rapport with him and make his experience pleasant as he was having high anxiety.
We will use this facility whenever needed.

LOVE this place. Being a daycare kid we get sick pretty often and we sign in online and they are ready for us immediately. Never sat in the lobby longer than 3 minutes and see a doctor or NP within 5. They run all the tests and are quick and efficient. Love that they are open late and weekends! The nurses and desk lady’s are SO sweet too!
