I normally do not write reviews, but Primary Care South has gone above and beyond my expectations. I have had some recent health issues that came up unexpectedly and they worked with me kindly and patiently until we discovered the cause. I am in my healing journey and ready to start my life again thanks to Dr. Patton and his team!

This place is rude and gives the worst service. I have been seen here before abd wasn’t satisfied but I gave them a second chance because they are assigned as my primary care physician through my insurance. If you have multiple issues, I would not recommend being seen here. I have a diagnosed medical condition causing several underlying issues. When I made my appointment, I made it for the underlying issues I was having because of my diagnosis. When I arrived for my appointment, the girls at the front desk asked me to fill out a form with my issues. These issues were already disclosed when I made the appointment in advance. The receptionist then asked me to pick only one of my issues and told me that I couldn’t be seen for all three of them. I asked her if she was kidding me and explained that my issues were for an underlying diagnosis. She told me she wasn’t kidding and that I needed to pick which problem I wanted to be seen about. I was stunned. I told the receptionist that if I couldn’t be seen for all of my problems, then I just needed to cancel my appointment. As I proceeded to walk out of the full waiting room, the receptionist yelled something at me and then yelled hope you have a merry Christmas. That was quite rude and very unprofessional on her part. Additionally, the setting of this facility feels more like a clinic or urgent care then someplace providing ongoing primary care to individuals. This place also seems to have a high turnover rate of employees, as the same front desk employees are never in there twice. That speaks volumes. Tread wearily when choosing this facility as your provider

I went to this place for primary care many times in 2022- I finally have gotten better care and posted this review as a reflection of my time there. I asked for a mammogram because I found a lump in my armpit and was not only denied but told I was too young and it was anxiety. I was prescribed 3 different antidepressant medications that "worked for other women who had bipolar"-- but I do not have bipolar and no diagnosis was made then or now. I am happy to be done with this clinic and onto better care. You should be able to find me in your records- this is no random review.

Urgent Care visit and everyone was very nice. Matt listened to my concerns and worked with me to find possible solutions as to cause. Very patient with me.

This place is close to my home but the management needs to improve. Front office and back office need to communicate better for the patient. I can never get a call back or results of a test in a timely fashion. I get the runaround every time. Also- processing meds and info for tests need to be clear as items and info were left off the charts. Hopefully they get better Operations Manager in place soon.

I booked a walk-in appointment online for my sick 7 month old while we were on vacation. I didn’t want to have to sit and wait somewhere since she was incredibly ill. Same day appointment was booked with no issues. When I arrived to check in they told me that they don’t take any child under 3 and sent me to another urgent care. If you have children under 3 do not book an appointment here and waste an entire day. Apparently their website will take anyone even though they do not per their policy.

I visited here for an infection a couple of years ago (I am to this day still upset and decided to finally write this review as my friend recently asked me if I’ve been here before). After I was seen during my first visit, I was never told I was good to go. I was made under the impression that they were still working on things for me. They closed the door and left me in the patient room not realizing I was still in there. I waited for over an hour until someone finally told me I was free to leave and wondered why I was still there. Fast forward a week, I went back because I was still having symptoms from my infection and the medication prescribed by Dr. Patton wasn’t working. I was panicking because my lymph nodes were swelling up, I was breaking out in hives ALL over my body, and was getting achey chills. I made this very clear to the doctor which proceeded to test me for strep (which was negative) and told me I just need to drink more water for the infection to go away and sent me home. It wasn’t until later that day I realized I was having a bad allergic reaction to the medicine they originally prescribed to me. I continued to have swollen lymph nodes, hives, and a fever for the next few days all because the doctors at Primary Care South didn’t seem to listen enough about my concerns. They should have been able to catch signs of a bad allergic reaction and not send a patient home with the treatment plan to just drink more water. Again, I am still disappointed to this day.
