They let go of my doctor, and now I can’t get ahold of a nurse to code the right bloodwork. Her voicemail is FULL, the insurance company needs to coded correctly, and I can’t get ahold of her. Then they hired a 3rd party to answer phones and then they won’t call you back after forwarding to voicemail that’s full. Spent 1 hour and 11 mins on a call yesterday to get nowhere.

I have been a patient at this practice for about 4 years. I used to be seen by Dr. Alka but then when she left, I began seeing Brandon Still. He is a fine man and an excellent practitioner. I never had any issues with Brandon.

This week I had been sick with a dry cough, low grade fever, negative for Covid. I felt I needed to be seen, so I called in to make an appointment. Brandon was not available, so I was given an appointment with Kelly Kevitt. We had a teledoc yesterday. After I explained my symptoms and asked to get an CXR, she asked me to test for Covid and told me that she would send me for a chest xray, “if that’s what I wanted.” She stated, “We will follow up later today” (which she neglected to do).
When I arrived to Clermont Radiology, they did not have the script that Kelly said she’d fax. I was frustrated, as I was sick, felt horrible, and took off three hours from work. I was told they don’t have any order. I then called your office and asked to e-mail the order. That was then done and I was then able to have my X-ray.
This is just one example of the incompetence you will experience here. I was told by the technician, that since it is a stat, it would be ready by 1 p.m. Kelly never followed up with me. I received a call this morning and was told I need to come in for a follow up. Now I am thinking the worse, like I might have cancer or something.
Today, when I came in for the “Follow-up of my X-ray,” I was greeted by Nancy. She asked how I was, asked for a copay and we started to talk about what had happened over the last two days and how I was treated. She was also the person who took my payment over the phone yesterday. I felt the need to voice my concerns, since yesterday, I was given the run around. There is lack of efficiency here. Yesterday, I was told initially, that my teledoc would be cancelled, because they didn’t get payment. I had missed the call for payment. This is when I spoke my mind, stating the incompetence!
“KANSAS” who was at the front desk listening to our conversation, immediately lashed out at me (the patient) while I was speaking to Nancy. She was completely inappropriate and not empathetic. Kansas proceeded to storm out of the front office, throwing her hands up and shaking her head, apparently upset that I said that the office seems incompetent. I said that because I felt frustrated.
I was then called in to a room where Kelly met me. She handed me my CXR report and said that it was normal and that I should seek another Primary Care Provider, since I was “abusive”. She was condescending yesterday and today. She is an absolute callous practitioner . She did not even assess my lungs or cough. I was in the room for not even one minute and she immediately dismissed me without hearing my side of the story. This is not how to treat patients. I would avoid Kelly as a practitioner and Kansas should not work in patient care. Dr. Amit or Brandon is who to see if you need to go here. I am happy to find a new PCP.

I strongly advise against visiting this practice due to their disorganization and difficulty in communication. Their work ethics are lacking; one would expect them to prioritize the community and their patients, actively following up to ensure that orders are processed efficiently. However, when attempting to schedule an appointment, you may find that many staff members are working remotely. If you request a transfer to the office, you might end up directed to the medical records department instead.

There seems to be little commitment to patient satisfaction, as they appear indifferent to the potential disappointment or harm caused to the patient-provider relationship. While I can understand that occasional mistakes occur, the frequency of these issues, combined with a staff that shows little concern and physician assistants who are not fully qualified to manage a practice, is alarming.

The practice of medicine has changed significantly, especially when providers choose to work from home while allowing PAs and nurse practitioners to handle their responsibilities. This approach is likely to tarnish their reputation, and I firmly believe that, if these issues persist, the practice may ultimately face closure due to their inability to effectively support their patients and the lack of professionalism among their staff.

After being a patient since about 2017, I had to sever my relationship with this practice. I had seen Dr Alka prior to her leaving, then Brandon who both were amazing, attentive and always gave great patient care. My last few appts I was scheduled with a Kelly who typically was fine. After a trip to the ER, I need some additional follow up to which I saw Kelly and she scheduled additional lab work. I had to call to request the script be sent to me after waiting 24 hours and was supposed to receive a call that ever came the same day. I had the testing done and had some abnormal results. I called the office at 8am and spoke to someone who took my information and explained I was having worsening symptoms and pain and stated she would send to Kelly and have her get back to me. I waited 4 hours until lunchtime and called back. I spoke to Katrina who stated there was no message from me. So I gave her my concerns again, and explained the abnormal results and wanted to know if meds needed to be called in or what the next step was. I waited an additional 2 hours and Katrina called back and stated there was nothing more needed ru related to what I had called about and I could make a follow up appointment for next week if I had concerns. I tried explaining again that I was calling for something specific in tests Kelly had ordered and wanted to go know about the abnormal findings. Katrina advised me I didn’t need to give her all the information that she already knows why I called. I stated I would be happy to do a telescopic appt since it’s a holiday week and hard to take off u planned, that I just need to make sure if I needed meds I could get them called in. She said she would send another message to Kelly. I asked if Kelly could call me directly sons ei don’t think my concerns were coming across clearly. She stated no that she will send the message to Kelly and see what she says. So another 2 hours later, Katrina calls and says if I have concerns I can make an appointment next week. So I have to wait what would be almost 2 weeks since I called with concerns and had testing (which I know needs meds for) before it can be addressed.

This practice is not what it used to be and is lacking in patient care and listening to their patients. I hope they read these reviews and make changes so that patients get the care they need and avoid the ER for something that should have been rectified by their PCP!

My wife, Tere Pizarro and me have as a Primary care physician, Dr Amit Aggarwal. He is a excellent Physician who besides taking care of us, He listens, explains and writes to you about your results, treatment and prognosis and Follow up of your diseases! He has excellent Customer service and we have been evaluated also by his wife when you have a emergency they see you the same day! Both physicians are with excellent Customer service and are the best in Florida and The rest of the world! We will recommend this place without hesitation! All our diseases are with excellent control due to this excellent Drs. My glycosylated Hemoglobin is 6.9%, so my Diabetes is with excellent control! We give Thanks to God and the Virgin Mary for giving us the pleasure to meet this health professionals and their excellent office staff! This is a edited 5 star review of Lake America Family Physicians, especially Dr. Amit Aggarwal done today 04/06/18, Several months ago my Insurance Humana stopped covering for Vytorin 10mg/20mg! Since then Dr. Amit Aggarwal tried with several medications for cholesterol the insurance covered, Pravastatin 40mg, Simvastatin 20mg and other medications to no avail since after taking this medications for 3 days I suffered from bad side effects like severe muscle pain, cramps and fatigue! After this happened Dr. Amit Aggarwal suggested to make a PA to the insurance to see if the insurance after what happened start covering for the only medication I tolerate for the cholesterol Vytorin 10/20 since on my most recent cholesterol labs, I had 275 of cholesterol and more than 400 of tryglycerides and the partition of cholesterol HDL/LDL could not be reported because it was to high to count in the blood sample which made me very prone to suffer a high incidence of a stroke, Heart Disease or Myocardial infarction! The PA was submitted to my Humana Insurance plan which called the Dr and sended by fax the medical form that Dr. Amit Aggarwal which gladly and quickly filled the form and send it to Humana Insurance which submitted the PA form quickly too! Yesterday the medication was approved by the insurance and today my wife, Tere Pizarro is getting the prescription for me to start it today! My wife, Tere Pizarro and me Jorge Berrios are very grateful and give thanks to Dr. Amit Aggarwal and Linda and Ashley and office staff of Lake America Family Physicians for worrying about my condition and doing everything for a patient in need! It is our opinion that Dr. Amit Aggarwal and his office staff are the best in the world and will reccomend this office and Drs without hesitation! We give thanks to God and the Virgin Mary for giving us the pleasure to know and be treated by this health professionals!

been a patient of Dr Alka Aggarwal, at Lake America Family for 5 years. Called for an appointment , had to wait for two weeks. Had to settle for a nurse practitioner named Kelly, before I found out that Dr. Alka, was no long at that practice. At the appointment Had to wait 35 minutes, at 77 I had to deal with a condescending God like attitude. I will never return to practice where you receive such an attitude. Just want people to have a heads up.

Dr. Alka and Brandon are so attentive and care to listen to you. They take their time to rule out natural options before taking a medications to resolve an issue which I adore a lot because most doctors these days just pump you with pills and send you on your merry way. The front office staff is welcoming and checking in is organized and smooth. LaToya is really good at getting refill requests prompt and their Nurse Eli is absolutely extraordinary at communicating vis email or returning a call before end of day.
I truly admire this office.
