Have had good experience here several years ago with a family member. But true to large corporations, Orlando Health bought them out and quickly said they're closing down the hospital. Do they not realize how far the next hospital over is for many residents? We need a functioning hospital in Rockledge/Cocoa/Merritt Island. This is unsat, but sadly not surprising.

Went to the ER on 2/1/2025,
Doctor Juan was a great caring doctor that made sure I was comfortable, my nurse Joshua was perfect!! made the wait for my results a comfortable wait.
The whole staff was a blessing. Thank You for making my ER trip easier on me.

I only have one star because the nursing staff were great. The hospital itself is horrible. Severely understaffed. My Mom came in with a seizure on Saturday morning. The doctor ordered an EEG to measure any continued seizure activity, which wasn't done until Tuesday. Seizure pads were not on the bed-the had bedsheets taped to the bed with tape. In 5 days, no one ever came in to turn my Mom. I could go on and on, but am so angry with the lack of care my Mom received. Staff kept telling me that it takes time for change to happen. I'm sorry but, time is something that she doesn't have. She is now in a Hospice Unit and end of life.

We went to this hospital multiple times because my husband has had chest pains and his arm going numb and they have refused to tell us anything or do any real help for him. He’s young he’s not an old man so you think they’d be taking this seriously but they blow us off and don’t even try to get him any sort of help. They just “refer” him somewhere else and those places tell us he needs to be in the hospital. They don’t care about you or your family. I wouldn’t waist my time here.

My brother has been a patient on the third floor for several weeks. The compassionate care he has received has been so heartwarming for me and my family to experience. I wanted to take a moment to mention Dawn Russell, his RN on the third floor. Her kindness and quiet calm really helped my brother and my family better deal with what will surely be his final days. She listened to him, and tried to calm him consistently. Victoria from the cancer center came by to check on him. Her real concern for his well-being was obvious and appreciated by our family. Finally, Maggie his overnight RN worked to get him cleaned and covered to maintain his dignity so he could be transferred to Vitas Hospice to complete his journey in life. I am certain there were others that assisted him, especially when he was cantankerous because he was so ill. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank your staff and the Vitas staff that completed his paperwork and physical transfer. I don't know if I will ever require your services, but I will always rave about the excellent care given to my very ill brother. Thank you, Tracy Schmidt, sister of Paul Shankle room 310.

The nurses are pretty nice but not at all good at keeping you informed. The food is the most awful food I have ever eaten. Whoever is cooking needs ti find a new line of work. The hospital is old and needs new upgrades

From the moment I checked in the staff made me very comfortable. Everyone explained what they were going to do and always asked if I had any questions before my surgery. Operating room staff was professional but all had a nice calming way about them and as well explained what they were doing. Dr Watts spoke to my family member after surgery to advise how all went.
Post surgery staff made sure I was comfortable and continued to check vitals and ensuring I was stable. I was comfortable with the staff the whole day.
It was a very positive experience being treated at this facility.

This place is truly pathetic. My mom has internal bleeding and they aren’t progressing her care what so ever. They keep giving her the run around and it’s a total waiting game. She spent over 11 hours in the ER and couldn’t even get blankets or pillows. They kept telling her they would move her, but those were empty promises. She asked for pain meds which those orders were never put in. Even the nurse told her this once she got on to a different unit. Now she is waiting to get additional tests and is in agony. They won’t give her anything for the pain and haven’t fed her now that the procedure she has been waiting for all day was canceled. This place is so severely understaffed and it shows through how horrible the patient care is. This place needs investigated.
