Beautiful little rescue who is doing great things to change the dog crisis. We visited with Reign who is up for adoption. Staff was pleasant and kind and very transparent. They really speak in the best interest of their animals and work hard to set new owners up for success.

I found my sweet pup at Halo. The staff was amazing, very compassionate to the animals and very knowledgeable. It was obvious the time and love they put into caring for Brisket until we found each other.

Update - Brisket is a water pup! She *loves* to swim. With only a little prompting, she overcame fear of jumping in!!!

While visiting the area from out of state, we stopped by after seeing their sign in need of canned pumpkin and floor cleaner. My wife and I dropped off a case of canned pumpkin and the staff was so friendly and kind. We also had the pleasure of meeting Kaio, a very sweet lab who was at the rescue. Very happy to see this is a no-kill shelter and glad we could stop by to help and meet this lovely guy. Fantastic place if you are looking for a loving pup!

What a wonderful place with such kind and professional service for rescue animals. I was so impressed from my first inquiry about kitten surrender process and how quick and efficient the process occurred in a few days. The facility is so clean, animal and people friendly. They made a difficult decision comfortable with reassurance of the love and care the kittens would receive. I knew that Halo was the right place for them. When a future occasion comes to adopt, I would certainly choose Halo. You should too.

I recently had to surrender my dog Nelson. This was a very upsetting and sad day. I adopted Nelson five years ago from HALO. Now that my health has deteriorated, I am forced to give him up. The staff at HALO during both experiences was phenomenal. They understood my situation and helped me through a rough time. If you’re looking for a great dog, HALO is the place.

I’ve been donating items here for a while but never needed anything myself—until recently. My dog had surgery and needed a temporary crate for his recovery. Knowing Halo would be closed by the time I could get there, I called to ask if I could pick up a crate after hours and pay the next day. They were incredibly kind and understanding, allowing me to grab what I needed without hassle. Their help saved me from spending significantly more at a big-box store, and I’m so grateful for their generosity and compassion!

After my baby boy, Cody, passed away I called HALO about donating a lot of Farmers Dog and unopened dog treats. I delivered them to them on Friday. On Saturday I received a call from Jennifer as to where the donation was. I explained that we had just delivered it on Friday. Jennifer exact words were “Okay we have the food”. At no time did she say Thank you or I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I had donated to another shelter.

i did not visit this shelter, but i left a voicemail inquiring about kitten adoption/fostering. i was promptly contacted back regarding my voicemail, and was met with extensive knowledge about parasites, infections, vaccinations, risks, benefits, etc. because i currently have a cat. i was not goaded into taking any cats off of HALO’s hands, but instead urged to think more about my decision to give my current cat the company of a kitten. i unfortunately did not grab the name of the woman i spoke with, but she was comfortably articulate and extremely helpful, and i now know so much more than i did when i left my voicemail. the folks at HALO truly care about not only the baby animals they’re housing but also the homes that the babies may end up in, and any existing pets within those homes. truly a fantastic customer service experience!! these people working at HALO truly, most definitely care about you and yours.
