I decimated my wrist and headed on over here for treatment. I was triaged fast (due to my condition). I loved every single staff member I met, and boy were there a ton! I received top notch care; everyone was attentive to my needs, kind, and efficient— not to mention funny. My surgeries went smoothly and my pre and post care was just fantastic. I wish I could’ve stayed another night but I’m glad to be on the road to recovery.

Updating my review, one less star, on July 25 of 2023. My elderly mom who’s now almost 88, was hospitalized again and i found out it’s the law for primary to see you within one week. We got an apt with the other NP Anna who we recall liking better than the NP Mara( side note: our family has been with this office for over 25 years when my kids were small, all of us seeing the now retired Dr. Cynthia Morris) We were hoping to switch permanently to Anna when we get a call this am the office mgr Veronica to say they want to change apt back to the original np we are not happy with because she’s been on record as being our primary for so long ( even though she’s been so unresponsive and feels like we’ve hardly seen her at all); she’s been useless in returning calls, etc etc, and it was nearly impossible to reach them over the phone to get this apt in first place when i was calling and calling and no answer until i called providers line!!! ( took an hour to reach!) We are so upset with the medical system to be stuck with first not being able to get my mom an actual Dr vs NP (Mom’s not poor enough for Medi Cal but is being treated worse than a Medi Cal patient).

Start of original review from over a year ago: Sadly this place is going down mostly I’d say because it’s a part of providence now. Here it is before the three day weekend. I called yesterday at 8:32 am for my 86 year old moms same day apt who’s had a history of getting pneumonia in her lungs. They are already full. I call this am with my eye watching the phone to call at exactly 8:30. The gal, Sonia answers immediately at exactly 8:30.1seconds and says the same day are already full. How can that be when I’m the first to call? I also called at 8:29.59 seconds and the machine says they’re closed. She says she’s got two other people in the office helping her answer phones to get those only three same day appointments that they have already filed at 8:30.5seconds into our phone call. There is something I don’t believe here. Why are they having three people answer the phones at exactly 8:30 am to fill all available same day appointments immediately? Also when our long time family doctor, Cynthia Morris retired, they replaced her with two nurse practitioners. The last few appointments we had there felt rushed. I used to love this place, and the only thing I see thay have going for them is a few long time good employees like the office gal Veronica, and that you can get to a human when you call, even if you have to make an appointment after you’ve gotten sufficiently sick enough maybe to be hospitalized. But you definitely feel the greedy money hungry care less for humans feel that the claws of Providence corporation have in this so called not so little any more family practice. I’d leave for a better place in a heart beat…um, if I could find one. It is extremely hard to find good doctors in the insurance world; they’re all moving toward the time managed dollar for minute model of Kaiser which I always hated. Kaiser is still worse because you can barely get to a human at all on a phone; you spend your dear time waiting and pressing buttons on the phone for minimum 30 minutes in my experience; had to have them a few times in my life with all our insane insurance qualifications rules in Calif/ USA that change each year if your family income changes or is not steady. Well in conclusion, Providence family practice is definitely going down the rabbit hole of non care; and I see they now have an overall rating of just three stars which means others are complaining too. Sadly all the good doctors seem not to take insurance and we can’t afford them either, all signs of our beautiful country continuing to go down that same rabbit hole. I have two stars vs one because I still am not giving up hope, quite yet, for changes to the better…but that hope is getting slippery and hard to hold on to…😢

This is about a week later and I had to increase to the stars because I really don’t hold the employees and drs here responsible for my complaint.

Can never get appointment with are doctor. They tell me he has know appointment.

Went for lab work. Hours on website say 8:00. Told at door dont open until 8:30.
