She took the time to not only do the physical exam but also took the time to talk to my daughter and myself about her emotional well-being and to learn more about her and our family life. This review is not for the doctors at this facility, but for the two extremely rude and heartless front desk staff who were working the closing shift on Monday, February 10, 2025.
I had been battling a severe flu and, after two follow-up visits with my doctor at this facility, I finally started to feel better. However, I noticed blood while coughing, a symptom my doctor had previously asked about. Concerned, I called the office to request an urgent appointment. I’ve been scheduled for 4:50 PM the same day.
It typically takes me about 25 minutes to get there from my home, and I left with enough time to arrive on schedule. Unfortunately, just before reaching the facility, an accident occurred at an intersection, blocking the road and delaying me by about eight minutes. As soon as traffic cleared, I received a call from the front desk informing me that my appointment had been canceled due to my tardiness. I immediately explained the situation, emphasizing the urgency of my visit and pleading with them to let me see the doctor for even a couple of minutes. In the meantime road got cleared & I arrived the facility in a minute. However, instead of showing any understanding, the two front desk staff ignored my concerns and locked the glass door. I reminded them that most medical offices allow a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals, but they didn’t care. I knocked on the door, hoping they would reconsider, but they continued to ignore me. When I saw them letting other patients exit through a different door, I approached and explained again that I just needed a quick visit to ease my anxiety. Their response? They threatened to call security if I don’t leave. I asked if the doctor is the office & they said she is with a patient. It means that even if I was on time, she was not ready to see me right away. (Usually patients be seated in examination rooms for half an hour to an hour & wait until doctors come and visit them)
What they failed to consider is that I am on antidepressants, and their treatment left me feeling emotionally overwhelmed. I broke down in tears, sitting in the hallway, shaking and distressed, yet no one from the front desk showed any concern. It was until two doctors from upper level noticed me while leaving for the day that I received any kindness. They asked if I was okay, brought me tissues and water, and did their best to comfort me, something the front desk staff should have done in the first place.

This experience was deeply upsetting. To be treated with such coldness and disregard at a healthcare facility where compassion should be a priority is unacceptable. No patient seeking care should be ignored and dismissed like this, especially in a moment of vulnerability.We are all human beings, and it's essential to recognize the power of empathy in our interactions. Demonstrating kindness and understanding is what truly defines our humanity.

My visit with Dr. John Foley was truly exceptional. He demonstrated patience and empathy while attentively addressing my concerns, which not only made me feel heard but also valued as a patient. Dr. Gore is the best primary care doctor I’ve ever had. And I’ve had several unfortunately. She not only takes the time to understand her patients medical needs but also aims to not just treat the symptoms but get to the root cause of the problem. She has gone above and beyond to get to know me personally and understand my history as opposed to rushing patients just to get to the next. I don’t know where I’d be without her caring for me.
