It was a wonderful birth experience for my client. The team of OBS, Midwives, and nurses was beyond amazing. She was able to push for 4 hours, take a break, and then give birth to her baby past the “ hospital pushing time limit.” The rooms are spacious, with an oversized jet tub, yoga ball, peanutball, and incredible views of Mt Tam. You have all you need for a home-feel birth journey. As a doula, I feel welcome and supported by the medical team. I also know that my clients will have the highest support for natural birth possible in a hospital setting. This is the BEST hospital in the Bay Area….

Had the absolute best experience here on a Friday night after taking a scary fall. Was triaged within minutes, evaluated by Dr, x rayed and then discharged with rx sent in to my pharmacy just over an hour after arrival.

I was blown away by how kind, caring and helpful everyone was from the check in guest, nurses, Dr, x ray tech and billing dept. Definitely not what I was expecting at an emergency hospital after past experiences or from other reviews on here.

I spent the afternoon in the Emergency Department yesterday (Friday afternoon!) and wanted to give a shoutout to the whole team! From security, to check in, to the nurses, doctors, and technicians everybody was friendly, patient and so supportive. I have to say this was the best ER experience I’ve ever had anywhere. I have spent time in various ER’s with family members throughout the years. This waiting room was clean. Security guards were constantly making the rounds. The medical staff was working hard and fast. They got interrupted when talking to me because it was busy but they stayed focused and came back to address my concerns. I am so grateful that this is my hospital. Thank you.

Enter at your own risk. The cardiac dept recently ignored my mother’s DNR (do not resuscitate) order. She is 87 with a long long list of medical problems. None curable or even manageable at this point.
After resuscitation they put a pacemaker in …not sure how my mother even approved that yet it happened. Feels like they see a cash flow with her.
She was mostly catatonic after the pacemaker. By the time I got to her they had pumped her with some drug to “awaken” her
She is not herself and per her durable power of health would not want to live like this. Yet, she is now having to go to long term care without the funds to even pay for it.
They are trying to push her out the door. It’s been one unpleasant conversation after another.
I’ve tried reaching upper management even board of directors and nothing. Most of the drs I have talked to since this occurred are Appalled and would not have proceeded this way. Too bad we got the Dr / nursing team who just didn’t care.

Time to hit the media and lawyer up.
So unfortunate that this is how they “care” for patients.

Profits over patients should be their motto.
Shame shame shame on you.

Oh and they can’t even spell her name right on the board in her room. Really Do better.

I had two doctors - they were great. One nurse who cared. Two nurses who literally wouldn’t remove an IV as I had an adverse reaction and lost my hearing. They told me that they didn’t believe me, and left it in as my hearing faded and then my vision started to blur. The regular nurses, who were on breaks, came back and apologized profusely. But I just wanted to leave at any and all costs at that point.

Lacking any other words, I’d call it a horror movie scenario and advise anyone to go anywhere else under any circumstances.

I’m sure there are legal routes available, but I think they are just understaffed and underpaid here, as others have said, ultimately. They are all humans and probably didn’t get into this field to be so angry and hurtful - BUT, I will tell everyone I know in Marin to avoid this place, for the rest of my life.

I went to the ER after a motorcycle accident. It was clear that they were understaffed and the doctors and nurses were all pretty busy, so the care provided to me was slow, and test results would take an hour.

Nevertheless, the nurses were great and supportive, and they did a good job in addressing my various injuries, taking x-rays and CT scans and so on. Overall I'm super thankful for the individual nurses and doctors who did an excellent job, but the only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is that the ER as a whole could use more nurses and doctors in order to speed up their care.

Update:

I had a great experience with the new front desk staff at Marin Health Hospital. The two people I met, a man and a woman, were very nice, polite, and calm. Thank you, Marin Health Hospital, for having such wonderful staff at the front desk!

1 years ago;
Upon arriving at the hospital, I approached the front desk to inquire about the registration process. To my surprise, the two staff member (women) behind the counter exhibited a complete lack of professionalism and displayed a rude attitude towards me and other patients. Their tone was dismissive, and they seemed disinterested in addressing my concerns. This encounter left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome.

As a patient, I believe that every interaction, especially at the front desk, should be handled with care, empathy, and respect.

I understand that working in a hospital can be stressful. However, it is crucial to remember that patients are already going through a difficult time, and a positive and respectful attitude from the front desk staff can make a significant difference in their overall experience.

I kindly request that Marin health hospital address this issue promptly and take appropriate action to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide staff training on customer service and interpersonal communication skills to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

I believe in the importance of providing feedback to help improve the quality of service. I hope that by bringing this matter to your attention, and ensure that every patient receives the level of care and respect they deserve.

this hospital has never done a good job but specifically yesterday, the triage nurse emma was very impatient about taking my blood, i asked for a second to take a breath before she did the needle and she got frustrated and threw everything away and told me to sit in the waiting room. later, i was in the room with the doctor telling him that ive been exposed to black mold and that i think thats what’s causing this, and outside my room i could see the emma girl looking in and laughing at what i had just said, and walked away.
the lack of regard for patient’s well being at this hospital is ridiculous and unprofessional, especially considering that’s their job. i totally would have understood if they told me there wasn’t much that they could do and maybe referred me to someone who can help, but instead i got laughed at.
i ended up just walking out and leaving in more pain than i came with.
