Dr. Bryan Fong and his nurse assistant Jason are not only excellent health care providers. They are also wonderful human beings who take the time to explain treatment plans as well as my role in maintaining optimal health. I could not ask for more.

I had an angioplasty as a prelude for open heart surgery. My experience that day was other worldly. 30 people treated me like I was the only person in the world. I had no concern of having my chest sawed open and bleeding out for 4 hours. This was Kaiser Permanente. They had already saved my sons life. Now it was my turn. I was quoting MacBeth's last words as they put me under just in case. One of the best days of my life.

I was in Kaiser ER Department two times for a clogged catheter in 13 hours. Dr. Bruce Allyn said it was β€œgross” that dead tumor material from my bladder cancer was flushing through the catheter like a teenager watching a science experiment. It was appalling. To say the least, I was in excruciating pain. Instead of showing my family member how to flush the catheter, we were sent home. I also told them that I had not had a bowel movement in seven days in which an enema could have been easily done. Instead, I ended up back in the ER five days later in a critical condition with my bowels that could have required surgery. I was fortunate that a nurse helped me clear my bowels, which were descended and extremely painful. I hope Kaiser would do a better job in their hiring of doctors, as they can cause as much harm as good. I am shocked at Kaiser’s lack of basic care. Please be careful and know what you need and demand proper treatment, otherwise your health may suffer significantly.

Dr. Morgan was phenomenal in every sense. No complaints about her. However, I am very concerned about Kaiser lack of attention to patient safety. I have severe sleep apnea and when I heard (in dec when scheduling colonoscopy) I would be heavily sedated, I called and after being transfered to the GI dept and speaking with one of the lead nurses, I voiced concerns about needing a bipap/cpap machine to ensure my airways aren't obstructed under heavy sedation. She assured me there would be an anesteologist and they would already have a machine that provides high pressure air ensuring no obstruction to my airways. I asked does the machine auto adjust pressure just like my cpap does and she said yes but feel free to bring your machine in case it doesn't so you can use it...which is what I did. Then literally the minute before they're about to perform the procedure, I'm given a digital pad to sign some rights away without even being able to read what it is I'm signing. At that point I asked questions about whether they had a cpap and that I had my own here if they don't. I was told they don't and that I wasn't allowed to use it. I reminded them that I called 8 weeks ago to ensure their was a plan in place as I had SEVER sleep apnea(56 apnea per hour as per my sleep study). The anesteologist said they only had that pressurized air mission in the surgery room which I would be rushed to if it were an issue. Thank God for Dr. Morgan's foresight as she helped me evaluate the risk and explained how many men actually go through the procedure without sedation...she potentially saved my life or a avoided a serious event. Why on earth would the bureaucracy of Kaiser offer heavy sedation for someone in my position and then doesn't take patients advanced concerns seriously and potentially harms them is EVIL. You're lucky to have super talented Doctors like Dr. Morgan to compensate for Kaiser's horrific lack of care or safety standards if it comes with any additional cost.. truly pitfall. It was as if i didnt spend 70 mins, 8 weeks prior to the procedure voicing my concerns so you all can be prepared and you still managed to fail...truly pitiful. Again this is no reflection of Dr. Morgan as she was incredible in every sense. Kaiser will pinch every penny at the cost of patient safety.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The furnishings are modern (if in an industrial style). The staff are uncommonly cheerful and competent. The food is rather bland, but room service is exceptionally punctual. The personal trainers come to your room, no extra charge. The only downside is/was the availability of rooms; apparently rooms were not available at check-in and Mom had to wait for an available bed. Apparently stabbing and gunshot wounds take priority; who do these people think they are?
Overall, five star hotel. Shame about the food, though.

I spent Halloween in the ER at Kaiser Walnut Creek and ended up going in for surgery. I had a wonderful experience of healing and getting better over a very scary experience and all of the staff and all the situation there was was wonderful. I recommend Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek for anyone to have their health concerns addressed.

The PA requested an X-ray on my hip that day so he could see the most updated look at the arthritis. He discussed options to address the pain and recommended I receive a 2nd opinion. Due to my time constraints, he booked a follow up appointment with a surgeon immediately. He was also considerate by asking if I had a preference in doctors. He spent ample time with me during the appointment.
