My 82 year old father was there for rehab due to a fall . His caretaker showed up to check on him, and found soiled dirty diapers on the restroom floor. Disturbed I showed up on my father behalf, he had a sheet on him. the room temperature
was 64 degrees nobody there was competent or understood he was uncomfortable. I spoke with the traveling nurse about the filth, and what I was experiencing. She stated that was the cleanest place she been to. 1 week later my father died. A true warrior air force vet a huplmble man deserved better treatment. Please don't send anyone you care about here. No need to contact this place about the horrible reviews they speak for themselves.

We had a great experience with ProMedica/ ManorCare at Tice Valley. We used to go to different Skilled nursing facilities and post acute and they were very organized. Razel the unit manager, is thorough and helped us out. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident/patient at Manor Care Tice Valley for some time. The care has been excellent. I am an RN myself and visit her 2-3 times per week. She is always clean, dressed in her daytime clothing with combed hair. The medications, eye drops and meals have been properly presented and administered. I was surprised to see that the facility was recently in the news. During this time frame, mom had to be admitted to an acute hospital for a non-Covid related procedure. She wanted to go back to Tice Valley since she likes the staff and routine. They have done an excellent job in delivering care for her post-acute needs. The rooms and property are nicely kept up and are fresh all times that I have been there even on weekends. She likes bingo and other activities that are offered. I would definitely recommend Tice Valley for yourself or a loved one.

I objectively give this score: I stayed at Tice Manor in Walnut Creek for two weeks. BEST nursing staff ever. Great physical therapists and equipment. Beautiful facility kept clean by friendly staff. However, the doctor was very cold and recklessly changed my med routine until I called my own doctor. Most of the food seemed to come out of a can. My friends began bringing me food. I can't give this place five stars because of the callous doc and lack of nutritious meals..

Please do not send your love ones to this facility, my mom was there for two weeks with no proper care. The first day she was there she fell and they never contacted me. They did no updates the whole time she was there. I also put up a review prior and the Administrator Maggie called me and threatened to not give my mom care if I didn’t take the Yelp review down. This happened yesterday. Today my mom called me complaining about swelling and dizziness. They let her oxygen levels drop to 60 and she had to be rushed back to John Muir hospital. Also when I called to check on my mom they had no updates and nothing to tell me which is telling me that they are not doing there job! They hire a whole bunch of young people I called to do a meditation update and the nurse did not know none of her medications. Her call light will be on for hours and no one responds. I took my mother out of there she will never go back there again. I’m really concerned about the other patients in there please call and check on them and be hands on.

Understaffed with RNs, LVNs and CNAs who actually do the work of checking on patients and keeping them clean and safe. We only had a problem with one RN who wouldn’t call 911 when my loved one was having mini TIAs.

All the “admins” are not helpful and will listen to your concerns but never do anything to resolve them. Except Razel, she listens and cares.

UPDATE: Your Care Line is a joke. You don't care.

Should be zero stars. My sister had open heart surgery and stayed at this facility. I wish I would have read the reviews before she stayed at this place because the negative reviews are true so I don’t need to repeat them. And what’s crazy is even after the owner saw the reviews and responded to most of them, they didn’t do anything to improve the situation or train their staff on how to take care of patients. On my sister’s first day, when she asked if she can have a bath (which the nurses at the hospital said was ok), the care-taker said no, not for a few days and gave her dry napkins to use to clean up - literally just dropped them in the room and left. Smh

My sister was here for only a week. We pulled her out because the level of car was atrocious. There are not enough staff members to adequately care for the patients, so even though the staff is doing the best they can, it’s just not enough. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.
