This review is Dr. Donaldson. I'm not sure where to start. My husband has has quite a few failed knee replacements due to infection after infection and the implants becoming lose. When my husband became wheelchair bound over a year ago, we started trying to find an orthopedic surgeon who would help. We had been turned away by 3 different surgeons because my husband case was "too complex." We were told we needed to try a bigger academic hospital if we wanted help. We ended up getting to see Dr. Donaldson and he accepted my husband as a patient. He was very upfront with the different scenarios that we may face. He has preformed two total knee replacement surgery on my husband since October 2023 and my husband is walking again, no wheel chair is needed. He gave my husband his life back. He will answer any and all questions you have. He doesn't brush you off. He doesn't rush his visits. He really listens to you. Yes, you may wait an hour or two past your appointment, but he's DEFINITELY WORHT THE WAIT. We'd wait all day to see him if he had to.

I’ve had a right Total Knee Replacement Revision with Dr Donaldson in 2015 because of a 2014 knee surgery (different Dr) gone wrong. A lot of Dr’s don’t like to do these type surgeries because of many complications. I was able to gain better range of motion after his skilled surgery. I like the fact his physical therapy is down the hall from his office. He checked on me.
I know everyone has a different outcome but I have No complaints about Dr Donaldson or his staff. I have always received the most high quality of service. Yes, sometimes the wait to see him is long or difficult to get a quick response. He is extremely busy & your time with him is direct & to the point. You need to understand that. Some patients want miracles & blame the Dr. There are many other Dr’s you can see if you don’t like how things are run. I will not go to anyone else. I see Dr Donaldson every 2 years as a follow up from my surgery. I had a knee surgery with Kaiser, after all said & done they never did follow ups as years went on. I appreciate his care for me. I don’t look forward to the day he retires.

Dr Donaldson is an excellent Doctor. He is top notch in my book. He went into my knee and did a Revision. He cleaned up what another Dr should have done. My one and only complaint is the waiting. It's happened multiple times. Waiting and hour or more passed your appt time. They need to stop over booking and do better. Patients have other things to do besides waiting there half the day. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Doctor Roberts was very interruptive. Every time I start saying something, he rebutted it. Told me things I said were opinion when everything I told him was straight from other Orthopedic Surgeon’s. Spent very little time with me, after I waited patiently for an hour and a half past my appointment time, even though I was 30 minutes early! More interested in getting there 3 patients per hour quota (20 minutes appointments), than just giving me 5 or 6 minutes uninterrupted, so that I can explain all of the FACTS, not opinion after I waited months for this appointment! Extremely disappointed, I really am.

Definitely don't understand the hype. He was recommended by a co worker that had mild knee problems, but Dr Donaldson did a partial knee replacement on him. Booked 3 months out, then my appointment got cancelled. Rebooked for 2 months out. Appointment was at 230, drove an hour to his office and checked in at 210. Was told he was an hour behind. Fast forward to 430 and i finally get called back. Fast forward to 510 and he finally comes in. 3 hours after check-in and im seen. First thing he says is "you're too young to have knee problems." Mind you, 3 combat deployments and 10 years in the Marine Corps say otherwise. He never asked my pain level. Never asked my day to day activities. Never asked about sleep or the pain im in. Never read the my Drs notes from my MRI. Never even asked about how many injuries ive had. Never knew that im 100% disabled and have constant pain, not discomfort, pain. Long story short, very disappointed in this experience and him making up his mind prior to meeting me and telling me im too young without asking me anything, seems wrong. Im sure he's a great guy, but not at all what i expected.

He has taken amazing care of my wife. She can flex her leg for the first time in 3 years. I have never seen a doctor be such a proponent for his patients. You do what he asks and he does everything he can to get you to your goals and fix you orthopedic needs. I wish there were more doctors like him in every field of medicine. To boot, he has a great attitude towards his patient and what use to be called "bedside manor". This is the orthopedist you are looking for!!

If you have a bad knee, you NEED Dr. Donaldson. He repaired a botched knee replacement, and several other major surgeries on both me and my husband, Ike Bootsma. He has a very gentle bedside manner and is extremely qualified in the OR.
I want to thank him and his wonderful staff for their continuous care and their level of expertise and personal compassion.

Never told me my hips were recalled, have had trouble for over 20 year and few operations after him poisoning of my blood, Now bones have to be split to get his work out with a major surgery. called his office meny times never a call back to me don't go to him if you can help it, legal advice now. Thanks doctor Donaldson for never trying to help or get back to me after you ruined my life. Sham sham on you. You acted like a friend I guess you liked my insurance company better as a friend and more operations to come🤔😡
