I got genetic testing done over a year ago and was super happy with the process. Now, I'm extremely unhappy. I was told and assured multiple times I would only pay $200. They gave me the codes so I could check that my insurance would cover it, and they did in fact cover the codes I was given. Now, over a year later, I received a bill for over $1,300 from the company they use to do the testing. They submitted different codes that were not approved by my insurance. I do not trust this company and do not recommend them. It seems intentional that I was given the wrong codes. They should be paying this for their mistake.

Beware. You will get a bill from this company that is separate from the actual genetic testing company's estimate. This is a third party company that just orders the test and charges you for a consultation with no estimate ahead of time of how much it will cost you. In my case all the testing came back negative which I could have read for myself. I had no idea that when my doctor ordered genetic testing it would then go to Genome Medical who gets paid to just order the test and give you a 30 minute consultation with the results. You'll get an additional, separate bill from the actual testing company. Update: I now received another bill 4 months later for another $179 for the second phone consultation. Apparently the first $179 bill was just to order the test which my doctor had already done. This second charge was to give me the results, which my doctor also did. DO NOT SCHEDULE ANY APPOINTMENTS WITH GENOME MEDICAL. They are not necessary. They are a scam.

I was referred to this company by my insurance after my doctor order genetic testing for cancer. I thought I was required to contact this company. I was not aware it was a separate company that could (and probably will) charge me extra.
The website said no appointments available. I had to call. Once i finally had an appointment set they never called for the phone consultation. I received several emails reminding me of the call. And 45 minutes after they were suppose to call I received an email that said sorry you missed your appointment, please reschedule.

After learning most local to us hospitals had a 12+ month wait for a genetics appointment, I found Genome Medical online. Within 24 hrs I had an appointment for my child and genetic tests ordered. The genetic counselor spent 45 minutes with us making sure she understood my child’s symptoms, and we understood what the genetic testing would be able to tell us. The best part is my 14 year old was able to participate in the entire appointment. Highly recommend

Grateful for the services offered. Getting testing, answers, help can be challenging. This was not challenging and I cannot express how much I appreciate that when you are in need of these types of services in a timely, efficient, knowledgeable format it is available. In our current environment we run into roadblocks so often, barriers, the system stacked against us. This gives me hope for the future that innovation is changing our landscape. The barriers of the past will be just that, barriers of the past. Future generations in the family will have a clearer picture. Less suffering, better management of health and outcomes.

I hate this people, they only semt the results encrycted and l havent been able to downloaded nor open it!!! Also they charged my copay for a phone appt which kaiser never done on distance appts, they havent been very helpfull whatsover😕 aent an email saying that if i have any I should schedule ann appt with them. I just want to print my resilts for my records and im not able to do so... OVERAL I DO NOT RECOMENT THIS COMPANY👎🏼

Waste of time and money - don’t trust them ! I needed a specific genetic test - cost me $199 for them to tell me that they can’t order the test that I need because it’s not available - even though the test is advertised as being available
