I don't typically write reviews, but my recent experience has me beyond frustrated that I feel compelled to write one here. I loved when Doctor Wickstrom was here. He made me feel like I was his patient to be cared for, and has since moved on from this location. This month I was going to run out of my blood pressure medication. I normally pick it up at Walmart and have hardly had issues getting a refill. But this time, I had to call back and forth between here and Walmart to figure out why my medication wasn't being filled. I ran out a week ago and finally managed to get an answer (if you can call it that) as to why I haven't gotten a refill. Someone sent my prescription to the Piedmont location to a doctor I haven't seen, only for them to cancel it and leave no note as to why it was canceled. I was told multiple times I would be called and informed about my status and not once was I ever contacted first. And now I'm being told that my prescription was canceled because I need to make an appointment with a new doctor. Wouldn't that have been good to know before hand? Now I have to wait another two weeks without my blood pressure medication, meaning it'll be almost a month without a drug I need for my health. This is absolutely ridiculous that I wasn't informed about any of this ahead of time. Not only that, but I was the one having to call y'all every single time searching for answers you couldn't give me because no one bothered to write a note as to why I wasn't allowed to have my medication. Totally asinine. The only person suffering from all of this is me and I feel like nobody could even give a single care about it because it doesn't affect any one but me. I wish I had been alerted ahead of time about needing to make an appointment with someone new, and perhaps given a refill that would last me till then. This entire situation has only made my blood pressure worse and added unnecessary stress. I don't see my review changing any time soon. I won't be recommending this place to anyone till there's some kind of change about keeping your own patients updated on important things regarding their medication.

I have been going here for years. The quality of care is great, the staff is friendly and very professional. With an appointment, I am always in and out quickly. My one concern is that doctors do not seem to stick around for some reason. I am on my third Primary care doctor in about five years. The question is why?

I have enjoyed getting to know dr wickstrom sad that he is leaving and praying you get another awesome dr in there . He listened to me and has started me on some very good goals to better health

Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee Medical is great. They have friendly staff, Dr. Bass is very caring and makes me feel heard. I am a huge baby when it comes to needles and usually a hard stick but Kristi got it first try and I didn't even feel it. She was wonderful. Overall awesome experience!
