I met with Dr. Anita to establish primary care. I felt that Dr. Anita took a genuine interest in my overall well-being, going beyond just asking routine questions. I had a terrible office visit made worse through the billing experience. The doctor spent the entire 30 minute visit going through my medical history which I had already entered online. She made a mental health referral only for me to get a call that what she referred me to was $600/visit. I had a list of concerns I wanted to address but at the 30 minute mark she said "Thats time" and then left without addressing the concerns. She said to make an appointment in a few weeks and we would look into my concerns. Then I get a bill for 576 dollars. I spoke to my insurance and they told me the only way to fix it is for Sutter to recode the bill, which I was told had a timeline of 30-45 days. I expressed frustration at this and was told "If you don't like it leave a review on google" so that is what I am doing. As a chronically ill person this is life threaningly low quality care. I truly hope something is done to assuage this issue.

EDIT: I was called by them on 11/26 and told they refuse to re-code my bill. I encourage others who experience this issue to report it to the California Medical Board

Went in for a yearly physical and got charged for a physical plus an additional $380 for a level 3 outpatient visit. Confused I went through the entire recoding process and the final review was that I was being charged because I was 'diagnosed' with several conditions. But all of the things listed were old diagnoses that I had brought up to the doctor myself when I believed I was giving my medical history.

I wish I had read the reviews before going as there is obviously a pattern here

If you book an annual checkup they will bill it incorrectly and charge you an exorbitant amount, then refuse to fix it. Based on other reviews it seems this is a systemic scam. Do not go here.

Go if you love a surprise medical bill. The provider I saw was listed as in network on my insurance page, I double checked when I got there for my physical, they didn't request any payment at the time of the appointment. And yet I still got a bill for $200 a month later. Also went in for some bloodwork my doctor ordered, you can't make appointments it's first come first serve. Got there at 8:30 am and had to wait an hour to get my blood drawn. Go literally anywhere else.

Honestly, looking at the reviews made me nervous, but my experience was great. In part that my visit was not a special case incident as others have reviewed.

I came in for a general check up and some lab work. From the receptionist desk, to the assistants, technicians, and doctor— they were all friendly and knew what they were doing.

There were no commotions, no shouting, no discourse between patients and staff. It was overall peaceful considering it was “busier than normal” according to Google. I am convinced that the majority of the Google reviews are slanderous in part of their own faults and beliefs.

I thought they stopped using leeches for medicine in the middle ages, but it turns out Sutter Health will still practices leeching!

They overbilled me for a simple preventative care PCP visit. I came for an in network PCP visit which is totally covered by my insurance and the doctor, Johnathan Nguyen, charged for multiple visits including a diagnostic charge, which led to a double billing which I now had to pay out of pocket. Sutter Health’s billing department will not care in the slightest to fix their mistakes

PLEASE do not ignore this review or the many others like it - you will be overcharged, and no one in this broken system will care at all

I go in for routine check ups + lab work and appreciate their new & clean facility. The friendly front staff allows me to park bike inside as well. They are prompt and courteous.
