Joan is WONDERFUL!!! She runs the office and fits people for braces (etc)! Her kindness, promptness, professionalism is OUTSTANDING!!!! She returned my phone call promptly, got my orders and called right away. I just cannot say enough about this young woman. ANY organization would be overjoyed to employ such a person as she. Give that woman a raise!!!! 🤩🤩🤩

Tried charging me for a brace that was 100% covered, glad I called my insurance to clarify - I was tempted to just pay it!

Update 11/23/22 - My insurance confirmed the sling I received from Sutter Urgent Care was 100% paid for. Pacific Medical was no help during this entire process, they assumed I was lying and trying to get out of paying the brace. I spent several hours of my time (while at work) to coordinate multiple conference calls between my insurance and their billing office to fix their mistake. Hanger provides much better service and they don't try and scam their customers.

My daughter had shoulder surgery & needed a therapeutic ice machine to help with her "discomfort". I went to Pacific Medical in Sacramento & Sophia assisted me. She was extremely helpful, professional, efficient, & friendly. I told her I had trouble with the "apparatus" my daughter was given to hold ice packs after the surgery. With the sling, etc. & not wanting to cause unnecessary pain it was awkward. Sophia showed me how to wear the ice "vest", place the velcro straps, and set up the machine. She even took a couple of pictures of me in the ice vest. Sophia also said rather than having to buy bags of ice I could get some small
(4-6 oz.) water bottles & freeze them. This worked great. When it was time to change / refill the machine we had extra bottles ready to go in the freezer. Thank you.

Get the price before making a decision or order. My first trip years ago was fine. My second visit this year was miserable. The price for a pair of shoes was almost $300! Way out of line. When I contested the price, I was told I had a $50 credit from years ago. They still can't give me the proper accounting for the service after 2 requests. I am sure there are others more reputable.

This place is horrible. Save your time and go elsewhere. I was a cash paying customer due to orthotic inserts not being a covered item through my insurance.
I paid IN FULL AND IN ADVANCE.
The service I received was horrible. When I went in for a follow up, I was seen by someone different and he apologized for the first experience. Then I felt like maybe it was a one off bad encounter. The guy made it seem as if he would get everything fixed and back to me in a timely manner. That was close to a month ago. When I called today, to get a status, they thought I was someone else, so the service must be consistent with my experience.

I still do not have the product I paid for.

1 star for billing practices.

I was referred to purchase a CAM boot and when I checked out I was asked to pay but was told they could not provide me a receipt at the time because the front desk person was new and didn't know how to.

Fast forward 2 weeks I call because I need the receipt for FSA documentation and get no answer.

Call again and get a woman who said she cannot provide me anything that matches how much they swiped my card for because they are waiting for the insurance to finish paying. I ask again, please can you provide me documentation showing the card swipe account. Answer again is a resounding no.

THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND CAN"T GIVE ME A RECEIPT FOR FSA

Go here as a last resort only.

Very bad. Went in was measured for orthotics. Paid 380$. The result was not wearable. They took it back but made no adjustments and made a temporary one. Staff said they would make another one. Nothing never happened. Beware you must pay in advance and if it doesn’t work you are out of luck no attempt to adjust and no refunds. Really bad.

Pacific Medical “ is the worst place ever “ the got one star just because if I left it blank, you think I gave it none ! If you ever deal with them make sure you have all there names and dates and everything you need to confirm you did speak to them… very important ! I called talked to someone ? Went over my insurance, had Dr send over Rx., all was covered made an appt. Went in to my appt. & guess what ? No appointment ! They had no information on me/ none what so ever.
Wasn’t that so nice of them…NOT ! I had no appt. / they had no info, that I had ever called. They did have the Dr.Rx ? & they could not fit me in. Now who had I talked to, who did I give all my info. to ? As I say get all there info…. In order to make sure you really have an appointment there….
Or better don’t bother … stay away from them…
