I was scheduled for a minor, uncomfortable procedure. Two women entered the room, neither of whom introduced herself. As I was clearly gagging and uncomfortable, the more senior woman mistakenly assumed that telling me she had experienced the procedure and lived to tell about it would somehow help my discomfort. She never expressed any empathy.
Then the facility screwed up the insurance billing. By the way, they don't call to straighten out insurance issues, they just repeatedly send bills to the patient demanding full payment. I strongly suggest that anyone referred to this hellhole demand an alternate. It's hard enough being sick without having to endure misery from a so-called health facility.

My post op nurse was great. They kept coming and and checking on me. I didn’t get their name as I wish I had. I told them about my trauma about a surgery I had she comforted me. This is my second time using this surgery center and each time I was treated with respect. I told the nurse I have a hard time after surgery to getting comfortable and don’t tolerate pain afterwards. She went over to recovery and talked to the nurse that would be taking care of me and told her.

She came back over and said “I just wanted you to know I spoke to your recovery nurse and said no matter she had my back” can I tell you with someone who has no pain tolerance and fearful of being looked at as a drug seeker did I tell myself “it’s ok you will be taken care of” I almost have had to go into surgery stressing out being judged.

I came off of surgery with one of the worst surgeries you can have as adult tonsillectomy. My nurse was waiting and boy did she deliver. She made me laugh and not once did I feel judged. Our cat of 10 yrs died while I was in surgery. And my wife got the call and the nurse was honest and said “take that call around the corner it’s the last thing she needs to hear” she comforted my wife as well as me. She was absolutely amazing. Her name was Karen. I unfortunately didn’t get her last name. But I had surgery on 12/4 and her shift ended around 4:45. So please from the bottom of my Heart tell her thank you for easing my anxiety and validating who I was as a person. Women already almost always get short on pain meds thinking we can just take pain.

I for one I’m not keen on same day surgeries as you don’t get pain management afterwards. But she did me well enough I was able to continue it at home after getting that ledge off starting up.

Also can we add they gave me the top of the hand I. Which isn’t easy, but is easy on the patient.

Anyways, I had a procedure done yesterday at this place. I can’t say enough about the staff, the doctors, the nursing first rate first class all the way they make you feel respected, love, care for most definitely would go back there if I ever have to do it again, fortunately I live in Redding California and the procedure I was pretty wild, but the love and attention that they gave to me and my mom yesterday we traveled home was Was absolutely outstanding highly recommend them!!!

The actual surgery center was clean, and my surgeon, who does not work for this center, was amazing. However, that is where the positives stop.

I agree with the other review that stated the way billing was handled ruined everything.

Two weeks before my procedure, the surgery center called to inform me that I would need to pay in full on the day of my surgery, which amounted to my entire deductible for the year. I said I was not willing to do that and requested an explanation, but they never followed up. On the day of the surgery, I submitted payment for half of the amount they requested. This procedure was done in April 2024.

By May, I had not received my finalized bills and wanted to settle everything, so I called them, but received no resolution. I started receiving bills from the surgeon that indicated my deductible had not been met. After spending my own time to research, I discovered my insurance never received the claim from Citrus Heights Surgery Center. I informed the surgery center, and they got defensive. I requested a refund since my payment was not reflected with my insurance. They said the process would take two weeks, but I had to call every day and finally received my funds back after four weeks from the initial request date, three months after the surgery.

This delay caused me to receive past-due notices from my surgeon's billing department, as I refused to pay until Citrus Heights Surgery Center returned my funds. As of today, four months after my procedure, my insurance still has no record of my claim being filed. Despite providing Citrus Heights Surgery Center with a contact number from my insurance to resolve the issue, their billing team remained defensive. They emailed me a transcript "proving" they submitted the claim, but ignored my insistence that my insurance had no record and was willing to discuss the matter.

I don't know what kind of nonsense is happening on the financial side of Citrus Heights Surgery Center, but it is a mess and will cause you a headache. Avoid at all costs.

My son got foot surgery 4 days ago. I was very pleased with this facility. From the cleanliness to the staff. The staff were all very friendly. Also the atmosphere inside was so calm! Am looking forward to my son's other foot to be operated on after this recovery.

We had a procedure for my toddler and the staff was beyond phenomenal. Everyone was well prepared for having such a young kiddo on-site. They used stickers to help her stay calm, took their time to help her be at ease, made scary medical stuff a game for her, and worked with she and I flawlessly every step of the way. I was so nervous going in, they listened to every concern I had, made adjustments to her care plan, and it went so much smoother than I expected. The care she received was amazing. They even dressed in kiddo scrub caps with fun characters and brought in a stuffed elephant that she could keep to help her feel brave. I can’t say enough good things!

At the time of my procedure, I would have given 5 stars. Staff was very professional and caring. Unfortunately your billing ruined everything. I paid my bill 1-1/2 years ago and your still trying to collect. Absolutely ridiculous.

I had a surgery here last week. The staff was so friendly, and they got me in and out super fast. I was treated with respect and kindness from everybody. The surgery center is very clean and safe as well.
