I highly recommend First Call Hospice. We used them for my father's recent illness. He was in a memory care facility, and they worked side-by-side-by-side with them and us to ensure that all of his needs were met. Everyone was wonderful with him and us. We especially appreciate Acelynn, his lead nurse; Jeff, the Chaplain, who despite being a non-religious person was my father's favorite visitor; Maria, who was there with him at his passing; Daisy the volunteer coordinator, who arranged a Veteran's Ceremony in his honor including a US Navy lap blanket made by one of the volunteers, and visits from other volunteers who played music for him which was his favorite pastime. They also provided after care assistance to us to deal with all the final arrangements and the closing of his estate. If there was a rating higher than 5 Stars, I would give it.

Worked for this company a while ago and I can say they genuinely care about their staff and their clients. Hospice care can be overwhelming at times especially when your clients start actively transitioning but first call hospice made sure we had someone to speak to if we needed to, some days we started our days off with meditation and the office staff was ALWAYS very supportive and helpful. They constantly check in with their staff to make sure we’re okay and they work really well together as a team. If you ever need hospice services, First Call Hospice is DEFINITELY the way to go.

Took great care of my mother after she was admitted to their care. She had regular visits from the social workers, nurses, and a chaplain. Even when I was visiting I noticed them coming into the room to check on here quite often. Once she eventually passed their Full-Circle Aftercare service was extremely helpful.

Cameron is the worse nurse we've ever met. Insensitive no compassion speaks at you not with you. She raises her voice over yours when you are trying to say something. She makes totally inappropriate calls to our sons in which scared him. She went on to say to him your mom is a drug seeker and doesn't need hospice. She's just the worse medical professional I've ever encountered.

The First Call Hospice team provided professional and compassionate care for my brother. He had regular visits from the Nurses, Social Worker and Chaplain. They kept me updated on his care and made sure I understood all of the services available to me and my family. They continue to provide support even after his passing. I cannot imagine what his end of life process might have been without them. They were able to relieve a lot of the stress of administrative details, allowing us to focus on the more personal aspects of saying goodbye.

First Call is amazing. They were wonderful. My mother's hospice care was problematic, in my opinion, under a previous agency; but when we switched to First Call, her situation was stabilized immediately. She was truly comfortable in her final months. I received constant updates from the nurses (Marcelle, Melanie, Courtney, and others).  Jennifer, the social worker, kept in frequent contact. Clay, a supervisor, offered detailed explanations and was very patient (even indulgent) with me and my questions.  I was impressed with Dr. Keith Wilson's communication style, expertise, and receptivity to ideas regarding my mother's care.  Moreover, First Call communicated very well with the staff of Citrus Heights Terrace, the (also excellent) facility my mother was staying in.

When mom passed, Maria, another nurse, was there to take care of final tasks. I was a mess, and she was so kind and comforting. A couple days later I received a call from Coco to let me know about aftercare services they provide I didn't even know existed. I was grieving and she listened to me as I rambled on.  When I availed myself of the services, I had a pleasant one-on-one phone aftercare counseling session with Hope. She was extremely informative and provided emails with helpful step-by-step action items and links to resources.

I hope I am not missing anyone.

Everyone was caring, thoughtful, kind, professional, unrushed. I can't say enough about how positive my experience was, how exemplary the care of mom was, or how First Call is a company that doesn't put the Almighty Dollar over care and service.
