This is the worse hospital ever. A matter of fact all these hospitals in desert are terrible. They have no compassion and it's hard to believe that they are real nurses and doctors. It's really scary to put your life in their hands. My son came there 179/150 blood pressure throwing up constantly, couldn't walk on hold his head up. They ran few test and through him back in the lobby. I had to fact out of character because watching my son in such pain I felt bad for him. He was cold They said they didn't have any blankets one nurse did give him a sheet to put over him. They were so rude feom triage to the nurses in the back. I called charge nurse, administrators. And no one respond to my message. They ask me to leave on patients that were going to be seen could stay which there were patients and family member that were sitting together and when I called them out on it they still ask me to leave. I felt discriminate but because of my son I sat in my car. Never gave him IV and he had been vomiting for 2 day couldn't hold food or water down. We got their about 12:30 they finally after 3 hrs started taking his throat culture, urine, and blood test. We didn't leave till 5oclock they just starting giving him some for pain because he started yelling out. Bottom line if anyone tell you Victor Valley or St Mary's are good hospital their a lie they are for poor people and people that don't have good insurance. They don't care about people you may sit in lobby our hallways for hours or even days. My son has lost 21 pounds since that day at Victor Valley and we took him to Loma Linda Hospital he got right in taking vital, blood work and was put on IV. They are doing some more in depth testing. Loma Linda is a Great Hospital they care and will go that extra mile to find out what wrong. They need to SHUT DOWN desert Hospitals or a least get people that care to work in them. I'm not just talking to be talking I was in the medical field for 35yrs and know how people should be treated people wouldn't be acting out walk around give updated. Apologize for long waits let people know you haven't forgotten about them. Whoever is the administrator of this Hospital you should be ashame of yourself do you even know your people are rude to people that are sick and come there for your Help!!!!!!!

I took my sons to Victor Valley Hospital for tonsil removal surgery about a year ago, and unfortunately, our experience raised several concerns that I feel compelled to share. Both of my boys had breathing difficulties post-surgery, which was alarming. My younger son struggled significantly to wake up and even developed Erythema multiforme. When staff inquired about asthma, I assured them he does not have it. They both appeared unusually pale during our time there, which added to my worry.

Interestingly, a friend of mine underwent knee surgery at the same hospital and also experienced breathing problems and fluid in her lungs. She mentioned that she heard other patients voicing similar issues, which is quite disturbing. When I described the female anesthesiologist to her, she confirmed it was the same person, which only heightened my concerns.

I reached out to the hospital (Patient Relations Department aka the complaint line)months ago and just left another message to discuss these issues and left a message about my concerns, but I have yet to receive any follow-up. This lack of communication is disappointing and adds to my worries about the quality of care at Victor Valley Hospital.

Overall, I sincerely hope the hospital addresses these alarming patterns to ensure the safety and well-being of their patients. My experience leaves me with serious concerns about the anesthetic practices and patient monitoring during surgeries. I feel it’s crucial for prospective patients to be aware of these issues.

This is by far the worst ER visit I've had...

I originally went to urgent care but was instructed to go to the ER due to my experience. The moment I came in, the staff did not acknowledge my presence or offer any help with check-in. After that, I got my vitals (which only covered respirations and heart rate). Then I provided a urine sample. Which was misplaced and couldn't be found for a bit. But they eventually found it. After that, the system went down but none of the patients were informed until many hours later. So everyone was waiting and waiting and waiting. I had my blood drawn not too long after. I informed the phlebotomist that I get intense syncope and she asked me what that was...

After waiting more, they realized an EKG was ordered and worked on that. Then after more waiting, they realized a chest x-ray had been ordered and sent me to get it done. Mind you, I came in for vomiting, diarrhea, and passing out (as a result of the fluid loss obviously). I continue to wait, I don't even know who my nurse is or who my doctor is. I have to track down random nurses just to get an update on anything. The lack of communication between the staff, myself, and each other was astounding. I was told my CT scan was normal hours earlier but was also told that was why I was waiting. Then I was told I needed a chest x-ray after 8 hours of waiting. I then asked for at least a time-line on the results of the chest x-ray but I couldn't be provided an estimate (as they send it elsewhere to be evaluated then the results are sent back).

After 11 hours, I had enough of the ring-around and demanded an AMA (against medical advice) to leave without discharge. Only then, I got to speak to my doctor who then proceeded to insult me, calling my process "dealing with your shenanigans." Then she complained that she had to stay an extra hour past her shift to help with my case. Then said "well at least you're in a nice comfy bed while you wait. All the other patients are in the lobby."

After 11 hours of waiting and one check-in.

She also explained that my fainting was unusual and that she had to rule out pulmonary embolism as a cause.

Even though, I exhibit no other symptoms related to pulmonary embolism!!! I didn't have chest pain or shortness of breath or anything like that. What I DID have wasn't even looked at! They ruled out everything else EXCEPT the one thing I came here for. I came in for abdominal pain and the aforementioned, but they tested my chest and heart. I didn't even receive an examination of my abdominal area, prescription for nausea, stomach pain, or vomiting.

Meanwhile, other people that got chest x-rays had their results back within an hour. But mine were pending for almost 3 hours before I decided to leave.

I used to be a medical assistant and I'm currently working to become an ear doctor. I have NEVER treated my patients like this. I cannot imagine doing so... I can't believe people are being treated like this when they're having terrible experiences...

Will not go here again!

Update: I went back the next morning to see if my results were in. And they got there at 4am!! They wanted me to wait 5 more hours just for my results to be normal (like I said they would be). I also believe this place gave me a UTI because I went in perfectly fine, and now it burns/ is uncomfortable. I went to another urgent care for follow up on the nausea/burping and queasy feeling, and they were entirely shocked that I wasn't even given Zofran during my stay. I'm so unhappy with my visit at this place.

I'm so unhappy about this and think about it often months later...

Please go literally anywhere else

Avoid this place! I came into the ER for flu like symptoms at 9am coming in as 3 months pregnant. ER seen me took test and ultrasound incompetent Nurse Practitioner discharged me at 7pm without seeing me and going over my results. I had to speak with the front desk on my progress and they mentioned I was discharged and can no longer see me due to the doctor left

My little sister just gave birth at this hospital and it was a wonderful experience. Dr Viruch was fast and well attentive. The nurses were soooo helpful Breanna and Cheyenne were all about patient care. In all our hospital experience I would rate them 10 out 10 just based on service and listening to the patients.

I was admitted here to deliver my baby this November 2024. This was my firstborn and I had no idea what to expect. I had plenty of great help from so many different nurses the entire time I was there, but my nurses team consisted of 3 different, wonderful ladies. I had Yajaira, Shaianne, and Devanie mostly as my team of nurses/techs and let me tell you they really held it down. They were extremely supportive even when things got really crazy and I know I was acting a fool throughout those intense moments. They were constantly reassuring me and helping me through every step of the way. I was beyond grateful to have them, through getting the epidural to laboring down. I seriously could not have done it without such a great team. It was one of the toughest moments of my life and they made all the difference.

This is the worst hospital in the world! My mother was to prescribed the pain medication because she was in severe pain, the doctor left the ICD 10 code off of the order, and is now nowhere to be found, hospital, saying that they can’t fax anything to the pharmacy and that they can’t page the doctor and that she has to come in to see a brand new doctor and wait in the waiting room again! On top of that they underdiagnosed her, after she was released, she had to go back to another hospital the very next morning in which they found a plethora of other problems at this hospital did not identify! This is absolutely unacceptable! And the nursing staff are no help either! She has been in pain for DAYS and they seem to have no resolution!.
