This has been a horrible experience. I came in for extreme chest pains on my left side they did an ekg right away so I was happy about that but when the doctor pulled me into the room to talk with me she said she was going to have me get a chest X-ray as well as blood work to rule out a heart attack or blood clots because I had a miscarriage a week ago and I specifically told them I’m having a hard time breathing and the pain is extremely severe on my left side. I’ve been sitting waiting going on almost two hours and they still have not done my blood work or the X-ray. It’s shocking how they aren’t prioritizing me due to the major chest pains I’m having. I feel like I’m going to faint because of how hard it is for me to breathe. Do not come here ever for an emergency they will leave you waiting forever. I’ve asked the man in front numerous times if someone was going to help me. I told them I’m in very bad pain and they keep telling me a couple more minutes. I’m very frustrated and upset and the way this er manages these type of situations is crazy. If I would’ve went to st Joseph’s I would’ve gotten straight away service. Sadly I was brought here. Big mistake and will never come here ever again!

My mom was admitted to GGMC (Garden Grove Medical Center) emergency in January 2025 due to breathing problem. She has lung cancer and they weren’t able to transfer her to the ICU Unit so that she can get treatment immediately because they say there was no room available. She was in emergency for a night and one day until my mom wasn’t able to breathe (by using a machine) anymore that they have to intubated her and that’s when they decided to transfer her to ICU the next day. The ICU doctor that took care of my mom aware that she couldn’t make it due to her conditions; and yet didn’t work with the ICU Staff to have my mom to transfer to a comfort room so that she can die peacefully. We have many relatives and friends that want to be by her bedside during her last hour and the evening Asian nurse that was taking care of my mom won’t let us be by her side saying that only 2 visitors allow in the ICU. We then asked the Supervisor nurse to give a room from another floor and she too refused the request saying that they don’t have any room available. Most hospital will send a dying patient to another floor so the family members can be there with the patient as long as they wish before the patient pass away. This hospital won’t provide that service and they were also very rude and unprofessional. They even sent a security guy up to our room to scream at us saying that if we don’t to leave the room they will escort us out of the hospital and this happened at the very last hour that my mom died. Imaging you have to deal with losing a love one at the final hour and then you still have to deal with hospital staffs harassing you and treating you like a criminal. Our BIGGEST mistake was having her admitted to GGMC. If you have a SERIOUS health condition and need special treatment, you’re better off admitting to another hospital. I have no choice but click on the One Star for this review. I would give a ZERO Star if I could.

The whole stuff is poor , i'm not even exaggerating.
This Japanese lady, I don't know who she thinks she is.But when you're working in an emergency room you have to try to make people feel little respected and cared for especially if they were in pain and not talk to them nasty poor demeanor like she can't handle them, too much for her to deal with, or like numbers or she doesn't like what she's doing. While she was smiling towards her other co-workers, chatting with them and smiling

I waited for about an hour and a half to be attended, that's average in my experience. The front office staff were a bit standoffish, which is understandable, but the doctor and nurses were incredibly kind and helpful. They made sure I was comfortable, and were very understanding and patient with me. I was attended by a Dr. Ngyuen, who again was very kind and patient, and tried very hard to put me at ease, as we got to the cause of my issue. Im grateful for the patience of this staff, as an ER visit is already a bad experience no one wants to be in, but they made this a fairly easy and comfortable visit.

The 4th floor nurses in Telemetry were amazing. They really were patient and kind. The staff gets 5+ stars.
The facilities get 3. No soap for days in the bathroom of a highly contagious patient. Ran out of gloves, gowns, paper towels and personal items.
Oh, security guys at the front probably don’t get mentioned enough. Great work guys

This place was amazing! Got my daughter in, seen, and out with nausea prescription in under 2 hours with about 8 other people waiting in the lobby. The doctors and nurses were super nice and informative. I can't thank them enough

I have to say that one's own attitude is everything. Understanding that everyone is human and nursing staff and doctors are aware of every patient. Be kind and you would be surprised how you might be treated. I didn't take my pain out on anyone realizing also other people might be worse off and just kept in mind that I'm in the best place I could be. I have to say that Scott,Ruth, everyone on the 4th floor was amazing. I read the bad reviews and someone who's been to 3rd even 2nd world countries, not to say they don't care there just isn't a comparison. Maybe you should think how lucky we all are. To whom reads this God bless.

My son had a febrile seizure on Saturday, I was at work so I was unable to take them to this hospital but my wife was able to call 911 and had an ambulance take them here. They dismissed what happened and sent us home after how long of a wait. Now as I am writing this, my son is admitted at a different hospital with an on and off fever and difficulty in breathing just because they couldn't take the time to properly assess him.
