Glendora Hospital was one of the worst places ever. My husband was there for a few day and he almost died because of the negligence of everyone there. The social worker Tracy and the psychiatrist were the worst. The only person that really cares was the nurse Anna. She saved my husbands life by calling the ambulance to take him somewhere else. After my husband was in a different hospital I request his belongings and they couldn’t find them. Please if you really care about your love ones run away from this place.
This place is a nightmare. Very unprofessional and incompetent.

My daughter was taken there as a 5150. For the most part she was well taken care of. The social worker and doctors were very thorough. They definitely kept her stabilized with her medication. I'm writing this review to warn others regarding intake process. Unfortunately we could not take off all of my daughters belongings. She had three gold chains that she never got back. All they gave her were two charms that were attached to two of them One of the chains that was taken had a emerald and diamond pendant that was given to her by her husband. I have called left messages talked with several different people regarding this issue and it's been 3 days now and nobody has gotten back to me even though they say they're going to. We're assuming we will never get these items back and they were really expensive and Ed been bought over time. We are also waiting for some medications that were supposed to be called in to Walgreens that my daughter really needs. I just called and they still haven't gotten back to me on this situation either. If you come here as a patient or your family that can advocate for your loved ones, please keep any valuables that are expensive away from this place. You will never get them back

Staff are great. Very kind and loving and took very well care for me. I was a little nervous at first being there but within the same day of my arrival everyone made me feel comfortable. Now that’s not to say I’d be going back anytime soon or at all but if it were to ever happen this the first place I’d ask to get transferred too.

I CANNOT EXPRESS THE TRAUMA THIS HOSPITAL HAS CAUSED ME! it was completely inhumane. They forced meds on people, locked us in our rooms for three hours a day so the staff could party, starved me for the first 20 hours of my stay, didn’t give me my meds for three days, and I only met my doctor once. The staff consistently lied and said I was hurting myself, when I had the proof on camera that my wounds were actually getting better, not worse. There were two groups a day, both non educational and boring. The food was terrible, the rooms were filthy, the attitude was horrendous, and my stay was traumatic. To whoever reading this review, I cannot warn you enough to stay the hell away from this hospital.

Not recommended.

Rooms:
Stained sheets, lack of soap and running water in each room to ensure ailments including covid do not spread. Expect to repeatedly ask for toilet paper, and paper towels when needed.

Staffing & Nurse's Station:
Potentially short-staffed. Kept patients off critical medications for 5+ days though help was sought out. Employees working the nurse's station have insisted they relay critical information concerning the patient's well being to their team of specialists, yet no action is taken to reflect those lines of communication. Rather, employees insist they "send a text," to the specialists and "wait for a response." Though employees answering the phone's at nurse's stations claim to be certified nurses, these receptionists centralized within the behavioral unit have routinely voided their sense of responsibility to the patient by willingly writing off patients with 'busy, come back later' responses. Women experiencing menstrual cramps also waited more than 24 hours for pain relief medication.

Specialists:
Acknowledgment of doctors, psychiatrist, and social workers presence is not extended to the patients. Therefore, if you are not lucid enough, nor cognizant enough to ask to see them (as they will routinely go days without seeing their patients), you, or the patient, probably won't. One visit with a specialist can be expected to last up to 1 - 2 minutes. In turn, with the lack of attention given by the care team, one can anticipate their costly stay to lengthen as they so easily rule for extensions without intelligible explanation.

Overall:
The objective and mission as stated on their website does not align with how they execute. Unethical work behaviors across the board have been in place for the last 9+ months.

Standby for additional information.

One of my sons had a difficult time over the holiday and was admitted to behavioral health at Glendora. I can not say enough about the care provided by social worker, Traci Jordan. Traci was extremely knowledgeable, kind and compassionate, and provided my son with resources and support beyond any job description.

This place was very dirty! In the bathroom there was blood on the toilet seat my first night! The spoons there are disgusting! USE PLASTIC SPOONS! I was admitted to the hospital for gallstones and was there for 4 1/2 days. I had my gallbladder removed and according to the surgeon during surgery the cauterizer he used didn't work and they had to find one that did. The nurses in the morning shift and evening shift were very nice, but the nurses that tended to me right after surgery were absolutely horrible! About 20 minutes after surgery Regina made me walk to the bathroom on my own and up the hallway. I understand walking after surgery is essential for a speedy recovery, but without assistance directly after surgery? No! Another nurse who checked my vitals after surgery told me to stop crying! I was in so much pain I couldn't help it! Aside from the care I received after the surgery the nurses were great!
