I am very pleased with Dr Lane and her staff. She is very caring and compassionate. No doubt she is the most knowledgeable primary care physician I have had as an adult. Location is convenient and easy in and out. Very comfortable office and patient rooms. It has been easy to obtain convenient appointments. The practice’s patient portal is easy to navigate. I feel I am getting the best care possible!

The Doctor’s that work here are first rate that’s for sure. But once again I call 10-15 minutes before they close and they have already turned the answering machine on. The staff here are terrible and I would no longer have them working for me than the man on the moon. It’s not the first time this type of thing has happened but it’s going to be the last as soon as I can find a different practice. How am I going to find other Doctors as wonderful as these guys, I will never know.

Doctors are great but the front desk and nurses are whole mess. So disrespectful. Get told one thing by one person and another by someone else. They've always got an attitude problem. They've always got some sort of excuse. They REALLY need to hire people with better people skills. If you don't like you're job, find another! Clearly the reviews speak from themselves when the staff are the issue here. Absolutely appaling.

The staff is very rude. Before moving offices, Dr. Lane had been my primary doctor for 3 years and literally changed my life inside and out! I am forever grateful for her but the people you have to get passed to make an appointment are horrible.

I initially went to Auburn Family Medicine because I got fed up with the University Doctor's office. Since then AFM has taken very good care of me and helped me through tough times with disease. The facility is clean and the staff is very professional and willing to answer all your questions. I would recommend them if you need to find a PCP.

My husband and I moved to Auburn in March for him to pursue his PhD. I called Auburn family medicine to get an appointment to get a medicine refill, as I am from Mississippi so cannot make it to my doctor I have been seeing for the last few years. Auburn family Medicine very rudely told me that they weren’t accepting new patients unless my family goes there or I was a student. So I asked since my husband was a phD student if they could see me and they declined since it wasn’t me personally. My husband and I are young professionals and being told because we don’t “know anyone there” we aren’t able to see a doctor anywhere.

I have read some other reviews and I apologize for those who found the staff communication troubling, your concerns should be heard and it's frustrating when the line of communication for that is obstructed.

I've been using the patient portal linked on their website to send messages to the staff and schedule appointments. The staff has been great with responding to messages and the portal benefits the patient and staff relationship by being a record of communication along with other data for your private record like medication, biometrics, etc.

As for my experience with the care, I believe Dr. Hammond has expertly navigated everything I needed help with: skin conditions, neurodivergency, and depression/anxiety are some general issues I've seen Dr. Hammond with and he's heard out all my concerns and responded with a network of professionals he can refer you to for the appropriate care.

If I could give this place zero stars at this point, I would. I’ve been using AFM as my primary care doctors for over 5 years now. I’ve seen multiple doctors in the practice over the course of those 5 years - some good (Fagan, Hammond), some not so good. About a week ago, I tried to get a work in appointment because I had a severe ear infection forming. They told me “we don’t do work-in appointments.” When I told them I was sick and needed to see my doctor and demanded a work in, they told me “we don’t have enough doctors for work in appointments right now.” What is the point of having a primary care doctor if they refuse to see me when I’m sick 4 urgent care visits, 3 denied appts for East Alabama ENT, and one trip to the ER later, I have a ruptured ear drum with such a bad infection that my whole ear canal is closed up. THEN they want to call me the day after my ER trip to check on me and see if I was okay because the ER called them. What a joke!!! Find literally anywhere else for a primary care office.
