Who the hell doesn’t accept Highmark insurance? This place craziest thing I’ve ever been told. Finding mental health care with private insurance in butler is like finding ocean front property in butler. It’s disgusting you have to jump through so many hoops to receive mental health treatment. And we wonder why there’s mass shootings and people running around thinking they’re a gender they’re not. Sad times all about the money though. I have never been told in the state of Pennsylvania that somebody doesn’t accept Highmark insurance. Highmark and and UPMC cover probably 90% of the state. Bet they’d take it if it was Medicaid Highmark though.

I have tried calling before with their option 3 scheduling department to see when my appointment was and continuously called repeatedly a total of 46 times in 2 hours time frame for nobody answered. Finally I gave up and took the drive up to see the receptionist at the front desk if you need an appointment don't bother calling you get further walking in to see them face to face because their phones will eventually get turned off. Also I get it it's a mental health place but I'm not allowed to go through the front door to the receptionist area with my service dog because people have fears of dogs is what I've been told. So no matter what I have to also call my therapist in order to have my appointment. My therapist is awesome it's more over that it is impossible to get a hold of anyone on the phone you get further calling crisis or 201 yourself into the hospital to get better care and patient service. I felt kinda discriminated since my service dog isn't allowed at the front so we enter into the back and further it we can't park closer to the building because we wait in our car till the therapist comes out to meet us in the back door which has an open area that could be used as parking but most of the time the group sessions get their breaks to hang out in that area.

Horrible patient care and total lack of regard for the mental health of their patients. Unorganized, unable to return phone calls and very rude. When I ran out of a med I take daily, and the doctor was on vacation, they didn't have anyone on site that could send my script. When on the phone, the nurse literally said "you'll live" and then denied ever saying it. Completely unprofessional especially when dealing with a mental health patient. Shows their true lack of compassion and disregard for actually helping people. This is just one of many examples of poor patient care, I could write a book on this place.

First off, be forewarned before going there that most therapists there only offer appointments between 10 and 2. Very inconvenient hours if you happen to have a full time, 9-5 kind of job..
Positives: my therapist was great, the reception staff was nice, and my case manager is wonderful.
Negatives: their hours, as I mentioned above. Furthermore, whenever I called them to try to work something out with my schedule change, my problem was escalated to the supervisor, who was very combative and argumentative and didn't seem interested in hearing what I had to say.
Overall a decent place, as long as your schedule allows for it, but gods help you if you ever need to talk to the supervisor for any reason.

Terrible service. Embarrassingly bad doctor. First time I've ever had to get my own prior authorization for meds.

Update 5 years later: Today I had a telephone appointment with their doctor. The doctor called 28 minutes late. My appointment lasted 10 minutes. I waited by the phone for her call almost 3 times longer than I spent talking to her. Then, when I mentioned it, she proceeded to lecture me, a 53 year old man, about how I shouldn't expect everyone to be on time and and to not be so demanding.

I love this place. I have been going here for over a year now and I'm done w all my mandatory appointments. However I liked my counselors so much I stayed bc they are so helpful. Anytime I was having issues w anything they went out of their way to help and address them. If your serious about treatment and want help this is the place to be.

If you feel your son or daughter's anti social, criminal or sexual appetites
need to be curtailed I would recommend the medication Clonazepam which is frequently prescribed here for panic disorder and anxiety. It was over prescribed at Irene Stacy's for many years and thanks to Karma they are no more.
It will with time convert them into a more easily controlled and law abiding Dullard, I mean citizen. Think of it as watered down heroin with withdrawals lasting up to a year in case you decide to quit. Mine took 15 months! #Menticide

Horrible place! I went there for 2 years and have NEVER MISSED a appointment. Not 1 out of 35+ app.over the years. I missed one in December and needed to reschedule my Jan app for a different day. I recievef a leyter by mail stating me they kicked me out of the practice for missing app. And not one person will call me back . Meanwhile it was 4 days before my monthly med appointment. So I'm out of antidepressants and left hanging. I had almost perfect attendance and no one will help or talk to me. That place is a joke!
