I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

My PCP severely mishandled my case and then retired without being held accountable.

Another physician performed a physical exam that I explicitly refused which caused me a lot of pain and emotional distress.

Driving further away to anywhere other than this medical facility is more than worth it and I regret ever going here.

My health suffers permanently from their mismanagement of my case.

I have been going to RCMS for over 4 years now and have yet to have a positive experience. I have had many bad experiences in the urgent care, but the primary care side is horrible and continues to get worse. The main girl who sits at the front desk window for atleast the last year is rude every time I go in from the moment she slides the window open to the moment I walk out the door to leave . For the last 2 years I have not been able to see the same provider more than twice, typically not more than once. Everytime I go in no matter how early/on time I am never put into a room within 15 minutes of my appointment time, let alone seen by a care provider. It is usually a minimum of 45 minutes from the time of my appointment to the time the care provider entering the room. I have had several negative experiences with at least three care providers. When i say care providers I mean the DR. the medical assistance are always very nice and respectful. The last time I went I showed up at the time I was told my appointment was when they called to confirm the previous day. When I arrived I was told I was late, and I could wait and maybe they would be able to fit me in. And when the front desk girl was telling me this she was very rude and aggressive (as usual). I asked around locally and found out I am not the only one to show up at the time of my appointment only to be told I'm late. I personally believe that they fall behind on their schedule and instead of owning up to it, they place the blame on the patients, that or they put the information in their system wrong. I previously had a negative review about RCMS, but after about a year deleted it because a local asked me to take it down because supposedly they were "improving" but it's been another year and I see zero improvement, atleast on the primary care side, I'm unsure about the urgent care side. I really hope RCMS can one day improve, but until then I would much rather drive 2+ hours to a real health care facility that has more than just judgmental nurse practitions.

I am a visitor to the area and thought I haven’t experienced a TIA or mini stroke. I went to RCMC, and received a compassionate and thorough explanation of why I should go to a Hospital emergency room. I was carefully directed to the Sutter health facility in Santa Rosa, where I was seen and diagnosed. The PA and RN, who saw me at our CMC were very professional and caring. We were in Gualala on a brief vacation and had a minor medical issue. We called to explain the situation and a WONDERFUL lady named Meg got us an appointment to be seen early that same afternoon. The staff was VERY comforting and professional. They even filled the prescription since the old pharmacy was out of business.
They also accepted our insurance with NO issues. Gualala is very fortunate to have such a wonderful clinic.

I am so happy to have RCMS in our community! I had my first experience as an urgent care patient there earlier this month. The staff is friendly and professional, the environment was stress-free.
We are so lucky to have such great care available in the place we love!

Very competent Nurse Practitioner who saw me in Urgent Care. He was very complete in his assessments, and took time to listen to me. I felt very safe and cared about by the intake nurse and medical team. It is very apparent that this medical center is well equipped to handle emergencies and medical needs in this small town setting.

High-strung urgent care nurse with one thing on her mind - COVID. No matter what your symptoms or the fact you're already fully vaccinated (Pfizer) she has one diagnosis. And she's completely unprofessional to boot. I arrived at 3:58 for my 4:00 appt. No one at the door so I walked in and was handed some paperwork to complete. At 4:06 this urgent care 'nurse' yells my name into the waiting room - stating 'you shouldn't be in here' - 'you have to wait outside until we find a space for you' 'get your husband, your husband has to leave too' First of all, he's not my husband. 2nd why wasn't a space ready for the 4pm appt? 3rd - I don't have COVID - my symptoms which started soon after moving a firewood pile were lethargy, stiff neck, unusual headache, chills, nausea, fever, loss of appetite. According to the Mayo Clinic - all could be related to Meningitis, which concerned me enough to make this appt. What a waste of time!
