Don't go there. They are so confused and disorganized. They do not give you adequate information about what is happening with your family member. The staff do not seem to be communicating effectively. Getting information is very difficult, and sometimes they perform prrocedures without informing next of kin.
However, it is very clean, and some of the staff are very pleasant.

I don't think I will ever go back to that hospital. I had a very disturbing incident with one of PA nurses I can't believe how insensitive she was she basically claimed that I went into the bathroom to take pills. this was on October 7th 2024. I was in for the hospital to have a stent put in my heart which thank God I didn't need. she talked about how I got out of bed and I put a jacket over my head which does not make an ounce of sense and when another nurse was questioned she saw in regards to the jacket being on my head. she replied that she never saw me with the jacket on my head but the implication that I was going in there to possibly get a high because I am in a methadone program and having sober many many years but some on that. I am not a bad person and that's how she made me feel

I can’t express how horrible my birthing experience was here. I was given pictocin even though i repeatedly asked not to be. I was rushed into an emergency c section and they wanted me to sign papers under the influence of drugs without my husband present, my baby was put on a breathing machine without the actual need for it, my placenta and her cord for freezing disappeared. I expressed my birth plan, it was ignored. I never got to do skin to skin with my baby, they rushed her away without need for it. The lactation consultants are a joke, the nurses (some, not all) are rude and dismissive. Their recovery rooms are horrid. This was hands down the worst experience I could’ve had, and I suggest if you’re giving birth, please go make the trip to Stamford hospital and get true quality care. Never again at Bridgeport. They RUINED my first birth and have made me afraid of hospitals again. Genuinely wish I could give it -1383953 stars with how horrible they are there.

I have many medical ailments I have a 40% refraction rate with my heart and I've had quadruple bypass I got more hardware in my chest than the back aisle radio shack my liver is shot and my endocrine system is all over the road I got burnt on my feet more than fourth degree burns so they transferred me from Meriden midstate hospital to Bridgeport burn unit.

After a while and being here and hooked up to the monitor a real life that I have afib now on top of everything else that I got I was already informed in the roundabout way that I was terminal anyway and this is the end of the road so even when I got here I kept telling him stop trying it's the end of the Road.

I've had multiple nurses so far and every and I mean every one of them does not listen or they pretend to hear you cuz they did hear you and they never do nothing meaning they do your meds and everything but when it comes to me and getting a meal or getting a snack because I'm a big guy they just won't do my menu even the last f nurse that was in here wouldn't listen all I wanted him to do was dial the kitchen and I would do my order because I have a special diet I have diabetic diet and cardio diet he's like oh I'll just take your order I'll help you that's not going to happen they do it by computer or what I can and can't eat at that moment.

Get me back to Yale New Haven St Raphael's 35 where they all know me where I spent 3 months recently because of my heart and endocrine system Bridgeport sucks.

my throat was literally closing yesterday, i was generally taken care of in the ER but once it was time for me to leave, all pharmacies were closed. that’s fine. i go to the one they called it into this morning and they failed to see if it would be open today. it was not. fine. it took several calls to simply talk to someone that could help get it transferred. after an hour they managed to figure it out (or so i thought). i get to the pharmacy and they inform me nothing was ever called in. i call the hospital 3 more times to finally get through to someone again and they had the audacity to be upset with ME LMFAOOO. be upset w yourselves for your inability to complete a simple freaking task.

- Never visit Bridgeport Hospital if you need medical care.
- Worst Hospital in the Northeast Region
- They keep you waiting in the ER waiting room till die.
- Check-in at 2pm and was not done with the service till 9pm, pathetic and ridiculous service, lots of excuses and lies to juice out your insurance money.
- Bridgeport Hospital should be hold accountable for defaming Yale name.
- They should name Lousy Department instead of Emergency Department.

DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT COMING HERE!
literally, the WORST hospital experience! shitty attitudes from all staff, noone knows what's going on, noone cares about you! my 88 yr old grandmother was treated so poorly, no compassion! From the ER to Northeast 9, shame on you!!!!!!!!!! I've called so many times for help regarding a prescription she needed asap, noone can help. Someone even hung up on my face when I asked for her name! I will be persuing legal action! Throw the whole hospital and staff out and start again! How can you allow so many negative reviews on your Hospital?! FIX IT!

Nurses on the observation unit were rude and condescending. It took THEEE HOURS for the male nurse to come to help me after FOUR CALLS!

I was also coming off/detoxing from a medication that was causing me psychotic idealations, paranoia, anxiety, and a tendency to act different than your normal behavior. Unfortunately my room faced a closet that had a window in my side of the door AND the other side. I looked up and saw a worker peering in the window and it looked like she was looking at me and I stared “what are you lookin at”. Well another nurse heard me, stormed into my room and chastised me for speaking to an employee like that. I was so taken aback at how she spoke to me that I didn’t have time to think and just apologized and said I was very sorry.

When the nurse came in to give me my pain medication(wasn’t even my nurse and it looked like my nurse was assisting another patient. Please remember I asked for pain medicine two hours before. I asked for something else four hours and six requests before and still no nurse. Of course I had it with him and was pissed. I guess he sensed that and sent in another nurse, but that’s a story for another time. Please continue to read the rest in the next review with the same title and/ or rating.
