I had excellent treatment at Dignity Health, Dominican Hospital. Admission was quick as was the triage. Personnel were competent and attentive. Nurses and Doctors were caring and treated me with care and kindness. I highly recommend this facility. I am very thankful to the personnel for giving me a great treatment in the hospital.

I'm happy with my experience at Dominican Hospital. I had lab work done, and it went smoothly and rapidly. And when I was hospitalized about a year ago, I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was! I mean, fresh vegetables, excellent pot roast, etc.

My husband had a leg infection and went to the emergency department at Dominican Hospital. He saw a Physician Assistant for 10 minutes, who diagnosed it as a bug bite and prescribed antibiotics. However, his leg infection worsened, and he had to return. After waiting for 4 hours, he was finally seen by a doctor who conducted a series of tests and prescribed a stronger dose of antibiotics.

My concern is that the first visit should have been more thorough, which could have prevented the need for a second visit.

Thankfully, we have insurance, but we received a bill of $16,650 for a “bug bite.” Our portion to pay is $1,300, which is still a lot for a misdiagnosis.

If you can avoid going to that hospital’s emergency department, I recommend doing so.

I was brought in code three with breathing issues. The really good news is the staff. They make all the difference in the world. The young triage Doctor really knew her stuff. She quickly 656drilled down to what my problem night be and sent me for testing. She turned me over to an older colleague to follow up with my care. After three hours of care, your staff had a diagnosis and a treatment plan for my Dr. to follow up with. While I was relieved that I was no longer in danger, I still had some concerns for my personal Dr. to work with me. Over all, a commendable experience,

After a motorcycle accident went to the ER in ambulance. Had multiple serious injuries.

Was quite disappointed overall. Care was fine. Staff was supportive. Needed an ortho consult, but couldn’t get one while in the ER - wouldn’t even call them. They put the wrong immobilizer on my leg. Wouldn’t do further testing. Told me that this is an outpatient issue, and to make an appointment on Monday.

Drove 2 hours to UCSF. They said I needed immediate surgery. OR was closed on Monday - they opened it just for me. Spent 11 days in the hospital.

Wonderful experience with all staff and clinicians at both the ER and hospital. Highly recommend this establishment and am grateful for their services. Each staff member I interacted with was kind, present, and helpful; easing a stressful situation given a loved one's need of acute medical care. Thank you for your service and how you care for our community!

Personel here were all outstanding. I am particularly grateful to Teresa M., RN. She was wonderful.
Separately, I do need to mention that Dominican has a problem with mixed-up medical records. Both times I've been there, my records were mixed with other people's records. I alerted various staff both times, but the medical records department is apparently still struggling, maybe because of problematic software. I've also experienced this with the Sutter system. It's a dangerous, chronic, widespread problem, so now I check before, during, and after medical appointments.
