Doctor Bergman is truly an awesome physician who always makes me feel valued as a patient. You can feel that she truly cares about her patients. During my last visit I was dealing with lots of issues and she took the time to address them. I knew I had taken alot of her time, yet she never made me feel rushed.

Love Dr. Bergman! This is my 3rd pregnancy with her and I can’t imagine any one else delivering my babies. She is attentive and caring and really advocates for her patients. It is clear she has a passion for what she does.

Dr. Bergman is amazing. As soon as I met her I knew I wanted her to be my OBGYN and deliver my first baby. She is so personable and treats you like her only patient and makes sure to answer all your questions. I was induced for 3+ days and Dr. Bergman came in on her night off to deliver my baby. I truly am so appreciative of her and the labor and delivery staff at Sutter. They all made a scary/long experience, easier. I recommend her to all my friends/family.

Dr Bergman is an AMAZING Dr . Extremely CARING , nice takes time to listen to you and explains things so you understand . I would highly recommend her to family and friends . Also the ladies that work there are VERY NICE. Also extremely Compassionate .

Update Nov 2024: lowered rating to 1 star. I gave it another shot and was wildly disappointed. I was in the room with her for all of 5 minutes where the entire visit was rushed. Last visit, she told me to collect a list of my family’s past history of cancer plus my period tracker and that we would discuss during my next visit. We didn’t discuss anything. She stuck a speculum inside of me, realized I didn’t need a pap. Did a quick check and left. She didn’t ask me how I (my body) was doing or if I had any questions or concerns. She didn’t take the time to sit down and talk to me about anything, after being about 15-20 minutes late into my visit. I came to see her because my old provider did exactly this, and it’s really unfortunate to see it happen again. I have been choosing Black women providers because I felt like I would get the best care, because they know how it’s like for us in the medical world. We see our doctors once a year for our women’s wellness visit, and the care I received made me feel of low importance.

The staff were all very nice and friendly, however it seems they forgot to check me in (even though I checked in on the portal earlier). I watched everyone in the waiting room get taken in before me, and received an email asking if I had arrived yet when I had already been waiting at least 15-20 minutes. Once I got in the room, I did like that everything was very thorough and detailed regarding my history and medical record. Dr Bergman was friendly, but rushed me through a lot of what I was saying and asking. I was interrupted many times before I could get a thought or question out, and the interruption was constantly at odds with what I was trying to communicate. I also noted a lack of genuine curiosity, and more of bit of an assumptive “I know this” kind of attitude throughout the visit…sometimes with a slight tone of condescension. At least that is how it felt to me. I would have liked more patience and a slowed down visit, especially for my first visit. Being rushed and lack of genuine care or curiosity was the reason I switched providers in the first place. I’m willing to give it another shot though, as the overall visit was not bad at all. A lot of the information I received was different than what my previous OB told me as well as research online. I’m not making a statement regarding which information is true or not, I just dislike having contradictory information. Nonetheless, I do trust Dr Bergman so far.
