I was seen on the 2nd floor outpatient center for a liver biopsy. It took me over a month to get the procedure scheduled. My doctor’s office submitted the paperwork twice and verified the paperwork was there and I still never received a call to schedule an appointment. I had to contact Grandview Admin. myself to finally get an appointment. Once that was done, I received an appointment that day. However, I was not told where to go in the hospital or anything regarding the appointment during this call, only to not eat anything after midnight. I was also told I could drive myself and then called back to say I needed a driver. Once I got to the called back, the nurse had to get a stretcher because the one was gone from the curtain I was taken too. She also had to get a sheet to cover it. I’m hoping it was sanitized. The nurse was capable enough, but wasn’t very informative or professional acting. After I had been there for a while, I had another nurse to tell me the doctor was in a meeting until 11:00 am. I was given an appointment for 9:30 am and told to be there at 8:30 am. When I asked her why I would scheduled for a 9:30 appointment time when doctor had an meeting until 11, she told me “they” aren’t very good at communication. The intern who later performed the procedure went over what would take place and that all we were waiting for was doctor to get out of meeting. I never saw or met this doctor and have no idea who he or she was. I was later told he was in the other room watching a monitor while the intern performed biopsy. The nurse or tech that was in the CT room was very good. She was confident and explained what would happen. She even came to the head of the CT table during the procedure and held me hand when she noticed I was in some discomfort. This was my first time having used Grandview for anything, and I chose it because of it’s reputation for being the “better” hospital. In all honesty, I am far from
impressed with my first experience.

My visit to the cancer center at Grandview Medical Center was great. The only problem was that there was a shortage of parking spaces and I had to drive around several times and finally got a space that wasn’t really a designated parking spot after another car pulled away. Once inside I was greeted promptly and everything went smoothly. Everyone was courteous and friendly and did their jobs efficiently and professionally. The nurse practitioner listened to my concerns and communicated with me in a way that I understood. When I left I felt confident about my care plan.

I have had surgery multiple times now there each time I have been no problem with doctors ,nurses or tech department. They have saved my life. Went into the ER twice now and was seen in a timely manner. On my last stay, I was in a room that had a picture on the door frame of Cinderella slippers it was a hugh corner room with great views. Just the best staff there.

I have to say that our time here was absolutely wonderful. I’ve been to and around a lot of hospitals and I have never met a staff more helpful and kind. They were seriously wonderful. It was everyone from the surgery check in to every single nurse about 4-5 after that! We had an outpatient surgery so it wasn’t a long stay or anything! Either way we really appreciate it more than you know. It’s already a long tiring day with lots of questions and worries and at every turn the nurses were amazing! Thank you again!

I'll give Grandview 4 stars for being clean and helping me when i was sick. All the staff except for one was always nice. I can't give a 5 star only for the fact they never let you sleep at a hospital. Wake you up to take vitals. That's never made sense to me. Besides that Top Notch Service

I had my mammogram there and they actually took me early. I arrived early as I wasn’t familiar with the department and was efficiently in and out before my appointment time. The technician had warm hands with little to no discomfort. Highly recommend the department.
