Visiting family in the area, all the urgent care centers were closed early due to it being Sunday. Feeling sick, I came to this ER. The staff here were very nice and responsive. I told them that I thought I had strep throat due to the symptoms that I experiencing. They tested me for COVID, the flu and strep all came back negative. I asked the doctor to recheck my throat one more time because I did not feel that they had actually reached the area that hurt during the first swab. The NP graciously rechecked my throat and swabbed right in the area that I was complaining about. She quickly returned and said that test definitely came back positive. And since all the pharmacies were already closed for the evening, they were kind enough to start me on antibiotics at the hospital so that I can start to feel better sooner. I truly appreciate the entire staff in how they took care of me and listened to my concerns. I would recommend this hospital to anyone in the area.

I honestly wish that I could give this joke of a hospital 0 stars. My uncle was passing through Tennessee on his way home to Kentucky and thought he was having a heart attack and literally thought he was dying. He called an ambulance, they picked him up and took him to this hospital. Once there they started running test and decided they were going to admit him. A bit later they came and got him and took him to get a CT scan. The next thing he knows, there are 2 police officers there, searching him because his nurse found a straw somewhere in the room and assumed it had come from my uncle and that he was an addict. After the police are done and find nothing, the doctor tells my uncle that he's being discharged because the doctor says that he's "found his problem right here." (As he's holding up the straw) My uncle told the doctor, as he did the police, that he didn't know what they were talking about because that straw did not belong to him. It didn't matter though, they still made him leave. My issue is this: How do they blame and kick my 64 year old uncle, whom they were previously going to admit, out of the hospital over something that didn't belong to him when he was having such serious problems? They could have done one simple test to see if there were anything in his system before they just decided to treat him this way. Not only that but even if it were his and he was an addict, like they assumed....does that not still make him a human being that gets sick like everyone else? Are addicts not worthy of the same care that other people receive? This is not ok and it's not how ANYONE should be treated when trying to receive emergency services. I can't believe that there are still people who feel as if they are better than anyone, especially in a hospital....the one place where you're supposed to feel some type of comfort in knowing that you'll be treated no matter who you are, as long as you aren't doing anything to be kicked out and I'm sorry but someone being an addict should NOT mean that they are automatically kicked out and not treated. Shame on you Parkridge West Hospital. Every person involved really should be ashamed of themselves.

I went to the emergency room early this morning and it was pretty horrible. They definitely need to work on the nurses’ bedside manner, because they were dead eyed and emotionless. The only ones that did not act like I was an inconvenience was the actual doctor ( which is unusual in my experience, so that was nice) and the person that did the CT scan. Other than that it was like robots were helping me out. If there was any other choice of a close by emergency room I’d definitely go there.

I was in room 419. All the nursing staff were just super good to me. Emily, Donna, David and Jenn all worked together to get me better! All the Tech's were great. They felt like family to me. Each person on my care team had one goal in mind and that was my recovery! Thank you all so very much for your kindness toward me!
The doctors in charge of my care were great!

If I could give this hopsital 0 stars I would. We took my 3 year old there on Friday around 1030. She had fallen off a slide and landed face first. Her chin was gashed open, she had a knot on her forehead and she had a nose bleed. We checked in and were told to have a seat. After waiting 45 minutes (with only 2 other people in the waiting room) I went and told the lady I was really worried about her considering her age and how hard she hit her head, and that she had been sleeping since this happened. We hadn't even been brought back to register and give our insurance, etc.
The lady called back and told the nurse I was worried, and the nurse was supposed to check to see if there was a room to bring her back to. After another 15 minutes, nobody came and let us know anything so we ended up just leaving (after wasting an hour) and driving to Chattanooga to the children's hospital where we received immediate, excellent care.

My visit was a late night scare! The doctor was prompt in his assessment and plan of care. My nurse, Emily (I think), was so kind and patient with me. Her nursing and critical thinking skills were on point. The x-ray tech was very efficient and compassionate. The only interaction that could have gone differently was with the woman at the front desk…she wasn’t ugly to me, but definitely not personable.

I had an excellent experience with Parkridge and all I came into contact with. The young lady in registration was delightful. She was completed the process quickly and answered my questions. Sorry I didn't get her name.

Next, I dealt with Connie, who was very professional and covered the process. I have some allergies to adhesive, and she handled the situation and the result was zero issues. I greatly appreciated.

Finally, I proceeded with Amy for my MRI. I had spoken with her the day before and she covered the procedure. I am claustrophobic. She understood, especially since it was a head MRI. She and I reviewed the procedure in detail and what she would do held minimize my anxiety. It worked!!! I made it through without any issues.

This team is definitely an asset to the Parkridge team.
