From the moment I walked in the first person I talked to was rude! She nice and chatty with her coworkers though. Waited four hours and after the third or fourth person that came in after me, I went and asked why I was being singled out. I was not a priority, I only needed an observation bed and not a priority bed. They had no idea or alternative solution to my issue. I said I would never go back that was 35-40 years ago. This just sealed the deal that I not even try!!!!!!!

The nurses/techs are typically nice or at least trying to be helpful. But the doctors are always mean, always. Always short and have an attitude or don't really explain anything and just want to get away from me.

I've gone in over falls alarms before just anxiety but I've always gone on before and they just did not care, where not patient, did not want to help me they just wanted me out. The only time they'd smile or act helpful is if I'd compliment them. I shouldn't have to be extra nice to a doctor to get help or bedside manner. I've called as well and told them some serious symptoms just to get a "it's normal come in if you feel like it" and then be told by everyone else in my life that I need to get a real doctor ASAP and be extremely worried because it was and is in fact, not normal. This hospital has bad reviews whenever I TALK to someone they have at least one bad experience. And it's 2.4 and 2.5 for the ratings? That's not because people are stupid or Karen's it's because 80% of the time this hospital has not and has never cared.

I brought my husband down here last night at 1am we’re still here at 9am and once the morning shift came in and night shift left they haven’t came in once for us we’ve been sitting here for over 2 hours waiting to be discharged and I’ve already ask them when it’s gonna be and they said the doctor is seeing a patient right now so we’ll let you know? uh that was over 2 hours ago how long does it take to see one patient they should have atleast came by and give us an update on anything but the shift changed and now we have horrible doctors and nurses not tending to us when we have been waiting patiently for over 2 hours

Just had out-patient surgery this morning, and it was one of the best experiences (minus the pain). Check-in, triage, to the nurses that performed all the work was fast and flawless. Thank you all for taking excellent care of me!

This place is a joke people with far worse things being told to wait even though one person could end up in a coma another in serious pain from a 4 wheeler accident but the person with an little sniffle or a swollen knee take priority over the serious cases. I mean come on who ever runs the emergency room department needs to step down or before long they will get sued and they will have to close the department all together which I would find so funny. Start taking care of the actually emergencies before the bull that comes in. If you have an emergency I would suggest going to Cullman Regional or Gardendale to people that actually give a damn.

I signed in, sat down and was called back. The dr was actually the 1st one to see me! The nurses and techs were fantastic. We moved from Houston (Texas) ND I was leary re a small town hospital. Have to say - I was impressed.

Worst ER in the state. I used to work here in the Emergency Department. We would triage people and immediately place them in a room quickly, no matter what was wrong with them. We would keep 1-2 beds open for Ambulance patients. Then Patty Poe took over the ER and all the nurses and doctors left. She and her cronies ran the place into the ground. Wait times went up, sometimes people would wait 5-6 hours or more before being placed in a room. Only go here if you are about to die, otherwise go somewhere else.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well I was treated last Monday night at around 8:30. The overnight shift that night was exceptional. I was diagnosed with covid and the flu. There really wasn't much they could do and I do have a medical bill because of no insurance but I was treated very well. My only complaint was the receptionist. I sat down and she didn't say anything for well over 3 minutes. I wasn't sure if she wanted me to say something first or not. She just kept typing away on her computer. She looked at me and just kept typing. She could have at least said give me a minute. After she finally said something she still wasn't very friendly.
