My feelings about this practice are honestly in the middle.

I first started with Dr Shekari, who was super kind and helpful. I loved seeing her as I put my health on the backburner for a while because of rude/dismissive doctors. She was helping me a lot, until she left the practice.

I then started with a new doctor, I only saw her once and she was extremely mean and immediately made me start crying, like making up stories about how I gained so much weight. For example, she made up this idea that I binge eat at night and that’s causing my health problems, which I have no idea where that even came from. I went to make a second appointment with her, and she left the practice too. I wanted to go back to her despite the negative first experience because she pushed me back on an antipsychotic I had a prior bad experience with, but she told me I have to try it again. I did as she said, and ended up throwing up and sick for weeks until I stopped taking them. I wasn’t even looking for psychiatric meds from her but she decided that was the problem she wanted to tackle rather than the physical health problems I’ve been trying to convey.

I had a third doctor, but wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep going to 26 because everyone keeps leaving and I’m having a decently problematic medical issue where I need someone consistent. I called today, and apparently she retired. I did not like her much as a doctor either, but my friend went to her and liked her a lot so it’s all about opinions. I felt as she did not listen to anything I said either, and kept brushing off many new symptoms I’ve been having as “normal” despite both my urinalysis and bloodwork showing otherwise.

I felt like the latter two ignored pretty much everything I said, and I’m afraid that the health issue I have been experiencing is getting worse to the point where it will probably be permanent.

They have a new doctor and I will not be returning because I have had three different doctors in the span of ~six months. Starting over with someone new is not working out when they do not even listen in the first place. I’ve never felt so unheard once Dr. Shekari left.

I will say that on the phone, the front desk woman is extremely kind. I don’t remember her name but she is always very nice and helpful. I appreciated her a lot. The people who took my blood were also very kind. I’m sure the new doctor is nice, but the inconsistency is not working for me personally.

This place is a home away from home with some of the friendliest staff I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Huge thank you's to Kiara S., Jasmine L., Gouitre, Zahrell, and Robert R. Thank you for the work that you are doing, and for being who you are.

26 Health gave me my first positive therapy experience with Wilfredo Guzman. He did an outstanding job of being patient but also challenging, and after several weeks of sessions I began to develop some skills and understanding. Eventually some life stuff happened and my schedule was full and I took a brief break.
Later that year, my mom passed away and I decided it was time to continue therapy. During my time away, Wilfredo had left the practice and nobody was able to find any contact info for continuity of care, so I decided to try another therapist on staff. I was assigned Steven Borrero. After 2 virtual sessions of competing for his attention while he was clearly reading other things offscreen, half-listening and eventually reading responses at me rather than actually having a conversation, I gave up when he still had not bothered to learn my name as he continued calling me Mike. This very disappointing experience occurred during a crucial time in mental health need. I later relayed this to a friend who turned out to have been a patient of Steven's as well, and whose experience was similar to mine but to a damaging effect.
A full year later, having not been back since, I have just received notice that I now suddenly owe over $1700 for supposed insurance denial even though all along my insurance was accepted and I made my $25 co-pay before every session with no issue or any notice otherwise. I do not have the budget for this and am scrambling in a panic over what I'm supposed to do now. I have not yet been given an explanation as to what has actually happened, only something vague about a new replacement billing department. I had called due to an email notice that told me I had a message from 26 Health that I could only access in my patient portal - only I could not access said portal because I was not recognized as a patient, since I haven't been one for a year. There was confusion between departments and 2 people had informed me my account had nothing to report before another told me about this massive balance.
The positive experience that I initially had was a luck of the draw in spite of 26 Health, and now I am so much more worse off stressing over this absurd bill. Because of this and the terribly impersonal and unhelpful experience with Steven Borrero, I would advise anybody seeking help to steer clear and go anywhere else as these inconsistencies and difficulties are not worth it.

I have been coming here for over 4 years. The name went from Two Spirit to 26 Health. It was really good before.

Now, it seems like they sold a lot of the offices, downsized on people, took the photos of everyone off the wall and fired them.

Bathrooms went from gender neutral, to male/female, but now back to gender neutral. The receptionist and nurse Cathy is good. The staff turnover is very high for a health clinic.

The administration, owners, or person in charge of this business probably is running the place from a computer and never has been inside the place. Nobody really knows much about who is in charge of what.

I had insurance plan with 26 Health. They completely screwed me over and I lost my insurance because nobody knows who is now in charge of that department. The finance department didn’t process my payments.

I don’t recommend this place at the time.

I’ve been a patient here since 2019 I first saw Blaine who was amazing she made me feel appreciated heard and just was a great doctor overall. Then the news was dumped on me that she was leaving and I was getting a new doctor. I was very apprehensive, but I still gave it a shot then I was seeing Angel for the last three years. Well, Angel decided in this past month that he would be leaving to work on his own, which is great for him, but I had called in because it was time for my prescription renewal right before he left and the office apparently didn’t make him aware before his last day that I needed my prescription renewed. They told me the only way that I would be able to get my prescription renewed was to meet with a provider whose name was Kiara, and then proceeded to tell me how strict she is and then I had to go through an evaluation all over again and would have to see if she wanted to prescribe me the medication I’ve been on for the last 4 to 5 years actually six years now and it was at her discretion not my body discretion that now has been without my medication for days for my attention deficit disorder that allows me to be a parent and a employee, This place has turned into a cluster of nonsense. They have nothing organized. The only silver lining is their office lady. DO NOT waste your time
Or money thinking wow these people care and help. They do not I played phone tag for hours and days on end trying to get a simple answer as to why my refill wasn’t next door at their pharmacy. And then told no matter how long I’ve been on these meds with doctors orders this new provider could just tell me sorry this isn’t what im going to prescribe you. This place should be out of business as this point, nor do I think any of their money that’s made goes to actually helping those in need.

i came back to add that the medical assistant called today and she was a complete incompetent jerk. She has no idea how to talk to people who they’re withholding their meds from she literally she be fired. If you’ve been deprived of your meds from this place please join me in making an complaint with the attorney general medical division

I would give this place zero stars if I could based on my experience here with provider KIARA STOKES.

Let me ask the google reviewer community-- what's the typical process for you to get one your meds refilled with a new doc?

It's usually something like this: You visit with the doctor, give them your previous medical records, and voila a few days later, like MAGIC those meds show up at your doorstep or you can pick it up at your local pharmacy, right?

Well, that's NOT how it works at 26Health!! You cannot expect to have such "fairly normal" expectations with these people.

I went in for a televisit to have my ADHD meds refilled.

Prior to the meeting, I provided them with all my medical records from the previous PCP showing I was prescribed this particular medicine and at the dose I requested.

First off all, this Kiara Stokes lady shows up 12 minutes late to the teleconference and doesn't even apologize for being late. She then proceeds to use a condescending tone of voice and demeanor, as if I was the one who had inconvenienced her by waiting for her to join the meeting.

I explained to her that I've been taking the same medication at the same dosage for years, and it is the only medication that helps me manage my ADHD.

She does a very dodgy 45-minute "evaluation" asking me several questions about depression and anxiety (which I do not have!) and not a single question about my ADHD!

Then she goes: "I don't think you have ADHD, so I am not going to prescribe this medicine to you".

I reiterated that I've taken this medication for years with no issues, as no other drugs have helped manage my ADHD. As a full-time student, I require this medication to maintain focus in school, help with organization and finishing tasks, and ensure safe driving, as I sometimes zone out behind the wheel.

She refuses to prescribe the medication and hangs up the call! I try to dial-in again, but she is gone! WOW!

So I sent her 3 emails with additional supporting documentation that I was prescribed this medicine in the past including an ECG evaluation, prior diagnosis, and a screenshot of my previous PCP portal page showing the name and doses of the ADHD medicine I was prescribed.

No response.

Five days later, I get a call from the front desk staff saying Kiara Stokes isn't going to prescribe the medicine and that was it!

Please save your time and money and go elsewhere!

If they make the process of refilling medications this difficult, I can only imagine how poor the quality of their other mental health services must be.

The only silver lining I can think of was Gouitre Khanna, she helps with setting up appointments and billing--she was awesome. Every staff member on 26health should take lessons from her, seriously.

Once NP Blaine Guelde left this place has gone sharply downhill. I was a patient for about a year and half during the pandemic and all. Blaine was everything and more and was the only reason why i tried my best to stick it out so I could get my HRT I needed. She ended up getting her own practice locally and I highly recommend seeing her. Every appointment you have the prices will change and be different. They don't keep track of appointments very well and will gladly tell you one price and charge you something else. The pt care is non existent. Evelyn the therapist is truly a nightmare. Made sure to call me after our last scheduled appointment AFTER business hours on a personal cell that I'd "never find someone as accommodating and inexpensive as us". When I see this company at events I wish I could somehow make people turn away and warn them. No one should ever feel like they don't deserve quality medical care. This is a money maker business not a health care facility. I strongly advise you to read the most recent reviews as they are extremely true to the experience you'll have here.
